Are these figures in a sitting position to go inside the truck or are they standing outside the truck?

They're standing. Sculpture -quality - wise, in my opinion, Jed and Granny are pretty good, Elly and Jethro are fair. From 4-5 feet away the whole set is convincing, and compliment the truck well. I'll try to have pictures available tomorrow (I'm very computer challenged), and you guys can be the judge.
