I am learning about Lathes and cutting my own motors. What should I get to do both stock and mod motors? I seen some stock model Lathes, but does anyone make any that can do both stock and mod motors?

The stock motors used today are rebuildable so you can use a mod motor lathe, don't bother even looking at a stock motor lathe unless you have alot of older motors that are not (rebuildable). The older motors were not suppose to be taken apart so to cut the armatures you take off a brush hood, clamp the motor to the lathe and cut it through the open hood.

They use to make stock motors so they were not legal to remove the endbell to cut the comm. So they came up with the stock lathe. They were very uneffective but better than nothing. Now stock motors are made with removable endbells and you can take them apart, cut the comm and put them back together just like a mod motor. You definately want the mod versions as they will also do stock where the ones labeled stock lathes will not do mod motors and don't do as well of a job. Hope i helped.
