LOS ANGELES, CA (March 30) – Grab your remote controls, R/C and monster truck fans – the Traxxas T-Maxx™ will start zooming into your living rooms this weekend!
The SPEED Channel started televising 2005 United States Hot Rod Association Monster Jam® events recently. USHRA Fan Choice Award winner John Seasock drove the Traxxas T-Maxx in four of the events the national cable affiliate will telecast this year.
SPEED will telecast the January 15th Monster Jam from the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans Saturday, then repeat the show Monday, April 9th and April 12th. Each one-hour telecast will start at 5pm Eastern time. Seasock also competed in the following events the SPEED Channel will televise: Superbowl of Motorsports events in Tampa and Orlando in January and the February 19th Monster Jam from the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN.
Despite an ultra-violent crash that kept him from driving the T-Maxx past the qualifying round, Seasock was a fan favorite in New Orleans. His qualifying run against Brutus® was one of the fastest times of the event. Unfortunately, the T-Maxx was severely damaged and lost its left front wheel in the crash that ensued a split-second after he crossed the finish line.
Traxxas’ full-size replica of the world’s best-selling radio-controlled monster truck defeated Madusa® and Hot Wheels® during the Superbowl of Motorsports in Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium January 22nd. After racing into the semifinals for the second time in three weeks, Seasock finished fourth in the freestyle competition.
Seasock recorded the second-fastest qualifying time and drove the T-Maxx into the quarterfinals in the Superbowl of Motorsports before a sellout crowd at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando January 29th.
Seasock drove the T-Maxx to victory over Eradicator®, Maximum Destruction® and Destroyer® before coming up short against Grave Digger® in the finals of the Monster Jam in the Metrodome. Seasock also put together his best freestyle performance of the season, finishing just four points behind defending World Champion Dennis Anderson in the Grave Digger. ©Copyright Traxxas 2005
