Phone call has been made, your set to go to nationals.

You know where I live, truck leaves after work on the Wed. before.

Only one rule.............no more racing in your undies!

I will leave the front door open for whatever you want to put in it. A new fancy pit box would be cool..................he he he

Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Went to the king of the hill race last year. It was my first race on caps, The help I got from AJ, Charlie & Phil was great. They make you feel right at home & anwser any questions that you my have. There is nothing that compares to racing caps on a high bank oval!!!

Congrats again Phil at vinton 3 classes 3 a mains. Maybe I should start racing in my short shorts:p

Hey Aj, We Are Coming Up From St Louis This Weekend, Can You Tell Me What Kinda Rollout They Are Running In The Brushless Class Or At Least What Spur Gear??

Rick

AJS
06-30-2005, 05:58 PM
I have been running a 108 spur with a 46 pinion, I think it's about a 2.34 ratio, I run a left stagger on the left and a right stagger on the right, some guys are running a lower ratio, but they are shutting down in the heat.

Looking forward to having you guys run with us this weekend.

Hey Rick, a King of RC has offered to take to the local hobby shop and do lunch if we get up there around noon. He's the brushless KING on carpet, but hasn't beat AJ yet this year.
See you at my house around 7am.

06-30-2005, 08:18 PM
Easy now, I did outrun AJ @ Marshalltown. Will be glad to show the Mayor of St Charles the town, being as YOU are buying lunch!

AJS
06-30-2005, 11:06 PM
Phil is correct, I wasn't able to beat the brushless king at Marshalltown in our 1st meeting of the year on the ribbon of concrete with winds out of the west at 30 mph, it was a feat just to keep the car on the track that day, at least for some of us.

Who's buying lunch? and Where?

See you guys Saturday.

Great race last night, good, clean fast racing. Thanks to everyone who attended, especially Mike K, Rick K., Murphy, John, Phil B. and the guys from Dubuque that don't get to race with us that often.

Phil B. showed all of us how it is done by lapping the entire field, great race for 2nd Danny B., Mike C. and myself all three positions switched probably twice in one lap with Danny B. ending up with the 2nd spot, I got third and Mike C. got unlucky with three wide racing and ended up 4th.

Just wanted to thank everyone that came for the races last night, especially the guys that traveled in from afar.

Thanks for the compliments Rick, your car look pretty good in the main. There should be some great racing at the "King of the Hill" if we can catch that Phil guy.

Danny,
What time do you guys start racing at, trying to plan a day to come out. I think theres 4 or so that are planning on the labor day weekend race. Are you guys running the 4300, or the 5800, 19 turn???

Anyone planning on coming to the Jim Wick race on the 22nd?

Hays Jr

AJS
07-04-2005, 11:10 AM
Hays, I know I'm not Danny, but I'll try to answer your questions; on our normal race days, people show up about 8:00 AM and we try to start around noon. On the night races the track opens about 3:00 PM and try to start about 7:00 and run on the hour. I'm not sure what the schedule for the King of the Hill is yet, hopefully Danny will post the schedule.

In the past the track has been open Friday for practice and the 3 round of qualifying on Saturday and a last chance and single mains on Sunday.

Hope you guys can make it down sometime, it's really a track that lends itself to really good racing, very wide and pretty smooth as well.

Danny B
07-04-2005, 04:46 PM
Hays, Everything that AJ said there is true. The weekly schedule is on the website. www.iroaronline.org

I'm for sure going to the Jim Wick race on the 22nd. I'll bring some flyers about the King of the Hill race with me. Right now it looks like the trophied classes will be 4300 Brushless, 19t 0 Degree and Open Mod(brushed or BL)

I just wanted to let everyone know that our race at Storm Steel for July 24 has been cancelled so that all of our racers that wanted to could go to the Jim Wick Memorial race at Triclone. I won't make it but several of our guys wanted to go.

Our next race is July 31, hope to see everyone then.

AJS

Thanks for coming down Bob, it won't be long and you'll have it figured out and kick our butts, there is no doubt that you had the fastest car in the A main, just a little bad luck.

Hope you do make it back again.
