The tackle box I am using for a pit box has grown too small.Time for an upgrade.
Wondering what you guys think would be a good one to get as an upgrade.

Depends on the size you have, eh? Plano makes very good/durable boxes in a plethora of sizes to fit almost any need!

The one I have is a pretty good size. It's just that it's one of the boxes that opens up in to a whole bunch of trays.Takes up too much room on my work bench.I need something with drawers. Not the pants kind either.
I'll see what I can find about Plano on the web. Thanks for the heads up Joe.

I'm using a Plano 757 and it's a good compromise between storage and size. It has a decent amount of car and tool storage and the top compartment is perfect for a couple of controllers and a Dremel. But there are so many choices and as soon as you buy one you'll probably see one that's a little bit better.
Here's a site that lists several Plano boxes: http://www.huntingfishinginc.com/tackleshop.html
I see a few folks with much larger boxes and ones with modular removable storage bins. Grab your longest and widest car/body you'll be storing (or write down the dimensions) and head to your local Wal-Mart, Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, or a similar store that has a lot of sporting goods. You should find a wide selection of boxes from several different manufacturers.

aye, no problem!
I use a 757 also. Great storage for alot of my slotstuff PLUS it makes a great step-stool for my short kid (5 yr old) to see the track! It IS sturdy. :)

My local Wal-Mart had these for less than $30. Plenty big for me at the moment, as it is mostly empty......Even with my 1/24th stuff.

A dozen cars will fit in the top, and the right side is open for big stuff. Lots of drawer space, and it comes with 3 little organizer boxes.

Me and 2 other folks that race together use the Plano 737. It is a very good box. The three trays range in dephts at 1 1/2 inch, 2 inches, and 2 1/8 inches deep. The top has plenty of storage, and so does the lid. Can't go wrong with the 737. Where the spinner baits are stored, is where I store my Parma Controllers. And those 3 storage boxes are great for parts.
