tw78911sc 03-29-2005, 02:06 PM Me too, what is the runline length? How close are you to the Beaver Run 1:1 track?
erock1331 03-29-2005, 02:18 PM track is pretty big, runline is like 175-180'
they run about 46-48 lap range in 4 cell stock

JeffPatch29 03-29-2005, 03:03 PM There will be a small crew coming down from South Western New York. somewhere in the range of 4-5.
Mike@SteelCity 03-31-2005, 12:28 AM Basically, the track will be prepped for Oval Only a week before the event. I believe Thursday or Friday we will re-tweak the track to make sure everything is set for the event. Controlled practice will be on Saturday as listed.
We may have an "un-official" controlled practice during the week for local club members on the typical Wednesday. Usually non-club members can jump into a race mid week for $10. Just more food for thought for anyone who wants to come in a few days early. It is all about a little extra fun. ha-ha
ksgmann 03-31-2005, 08:15 PM hey eric?? what roll out are you gonna be running, you could save me the trouble of calling Bill A from deleware, or Matt Tyson..lol what car are you running there?

Mike@SteelCity 04-03-2005, 11:25 PM Hey Dan,
Nice meeting you this weekend. Thanks for showing and running a nice race! We almost made 100 entries... maybe next week if we are lucky. Hope to see you at the Regionals.

JeffPatch29 04-04-2005, 10:08 AM Has anyone ran open modified at this track, or is anyone interested in running open modified in a couple of weeks to practice for regionals? I'd like to run modified at regionals, but don't know what the turnout is going to be like, or if I go down to practice if anyone will be there. I was thinking the weekend of the 1st of may, anyone interested?
erock1331 04-04-2005, 12:03 PM Jeff
According to the results, only spec, stock and 19T have been ran.
JeffPatch29 04-04-2005, 12:19 PM yep, that's what I'm saying. I know it has modified listed as a class for the regionals, and I don't think I am the only one who wants to run it, I guess all I am asking is if anyone who wants to run modified plans on going around the first of may of not. I will be there either way and will run stock or 19 turn depending on who shows up, just would like to run modified.
SMROCKET 04-04-2005, 07:38 PM I would like to come and run ,Have family in that area ....Is this a problem since i am from region 1
ROCKET
JeffPatch29 04-04-2005, 08:11 PM Rocket, I think you have to send a request to your region director to be released for this race, but since our region didn't have an oval regionals, at least that I can remember, I don't see it being an issue, besides, if there was a regionals, it was probably up at madness or K&N, which I am positive pittsburgh is closer for me, and am pretty sure it would be for you too. you planning on going out later this month at all to practice? gimme a call, 716-484-8967, later.
Mike@SteelCity 04-05-2005, 12:38 AM Every Wednesday we have exclusive Oval practice - club members set up racing for test N' tune. Anyone can join in - 5 bucks for 2hrs practice, 5 more for joining in racing. If you are local it is worth the 45 beans for unlimited practice time and free racing that night (and other non-scheduled race days) Open all day, but the excitement runs between 5 - 8pm.
SMROCKET 04-06-2005, 02:57 PM Hi Patch , I will be going out that week for a day of practice its FLAT TRACK how much practice do we need.......
ROCKET
JeffPatch29 04-07-2005, 07:00 AM Good Point Rocket, I'm going to be on a new chassis so I am going to need to do some research, lol. You saw my last performance, a little less than steller to say the least.....
JeffPatch29 04-08-2005, 12:17 PM here is a question about the 1/12th stock class at regionals, since a 1/12th modified class is not being offered, will the stock class allow prototype or non-production cars to be run? I think I remember a Roar rule that for all stock classes the chassis has to be out at least 60 days prior to the event to allow everyone an opportunity to get one, but in modified if you wanted to run a prototype you were allowed. Since a modified 1/12th class isn't being offered, will they allow prototypes in stock?

<<Typically no prototypes are permitted in stock. But what are we talking about here? A prototype chassis? or a part?

Beero 04-11-2005, 11:04 PM Erock are you thinking about going?
JeffPatch29 04-12-2005, 07:03 AM It would be a prototype chassis.
erock1331 04-12-2005, 10:57 AM Erock are you thinking about going?
Me and Martin are kicking it around, probably all depends on how much cash I lose or win in Vegas this week.
Vegas Baby Vegas
VA.RACER 04-13-2005, 09:02 PM Am I understanding this correct? The track will not be open before saturday for practice? Since I would be coming from several hours away, I would like to know if there would be practice on friday
thanks
Mike@SteelCity 04-15-2005, 11:06 PM Where did you hear that? The track will be open most of the week prior the race including Friday. You will be able to get track time every day the week before, but we will take some time to clean and do maintenance sometime Friday evening. There will be plenty of practice so no worries.

Mike@SteelCity 04-18-2005, 11:19 PM I have been getting a lot of questions about racers outside of Region II.... can they race?
You can find all the rules here: http://www.roarracing.com/core.htm
Please note Sectioin 5.11.4
Members wishing to compete in a Regional Championships must have resided in the Region for a minimum of the three months immediately prior to the event. Exceptions to the residency requirement are permissible if authorized by the affected Region Directors. Regardless of current regional residency, members are limited to one Regional Championship event per class, per year.
Mike@SteelCity 04-22-2005, 10:01 AM Most of the activity on the Region 2 Race seems to be on the Oval Track Discussion thread: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=100225
Mike@SteelCity 04-22-2005, 10:15 AM You will be allowed to run your prototype - per Region II director. Looking forward to seeing it run.

Ziggy 04-28-2005, 08:43 AM Is there any interest in running 10th mod at this race? I am planning on coming to the race if there is going to be some mod cars.
Zig
erock1331 04-28-2005, 09:29 AM Zig,
There is more discussion about the race over on the SCH thread in the track area.
Maybe post there as well and you might get more feeback.
I think Patch and Rocket wanted to run mod.
I talked to Liehr and he has to work that day but said he might be able to get there late.
http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=100225
"Frank Ulbrik" 04-28-2005, 09:33 AM Mod
JeffPatch29 04-28-2005, 10:04 AM Zig, I am deffinately running 19 turn and might consider running mod if we get enough guys. So far this race is shaping up to be a big one, a lot of guys from my area are planning on coming. Maybe someone should start poll with classes? (I would, but honestly I don't know how, impressive huh, lol.)
What about Petey, any chance in talking him into coming along?
erock1331 04-28-2005, 10:19 AM Jeff the only one that can add a poll is the thread starter, in this case Mike@StlCity
Mike@SteelCity 05-02-2005, 09:49 PM I emailed Hankster on setting up a Poll... I simply do not know how to do it on a thread already in use... any suggestions? Or do I have to make a new thread? I would be interested to know who is coming for what... Just so we can plan ahead, etc.
Thanks!
Mike
Mike@SteelCity 05-02-2005, 10:38 PM Please take the poll I posted at this thread:
http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=111687
Anyone can race - anyone can vote - all for fun - and to get an idea what to expect.
Thanks!
Mike
Porksalot4L 05-03-2005, 11:50 AM mike all you should have to do is go to the top of this page and go to "thread tools" then click it and it should have a option to start a poll
Mike@SteelCity 05-03-2005, 04:14 PM Yeah, got it going last night (obviously) .... I wanted to add it to this string... but you have to start a new thread.. Thanks anyway!
We may as well close this thread and work on the Poll thread!
Everyone go to: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=111687
...vote and post comments & suggestions!
Thanks!
Mike
