got a 56k modem and only connects at 24k ?
one answer i got was i was to far from main terminal.
is there anything i could get to boost modem? :confused:

a accelerator program. what ISP do you have??? what they are saying is mostly correct. the shorter you are from it the higher the speed. thats why you get a local # to dial to as well. but what isp, reason why i ask is that they may have a accelerator program you can use. earthlink has it for free for unlimited dial up hours though. netzero has one as well. don't know about others
