just picked one up, i know it uses 12 volts...just wondering if anyone has this motor in their lathe and if 12 volts spins too fast LMK... i was think of using a 6 cell pack,

Have an integy 55t motor in my lathe and it works just fine off my 12v power supply. Probably spins 250 or so RPM's too much, but it isn't bad.

i have been using the 12 volt motor. i bought it here on hobby shopper. it works great on 12 volts. i used 2 feet of 12 guage speaker wire and added a inline rocker switch. same type of switch that is found on lamp cords.
