Hey everyone. Haven't posted in a while but I have been reading.

Brookfield Zoo, (my place of employment) is selling a 1952 John Deere AR Tractor and 9 Golf Carts. If anyone is interested here is the info.

The tractor runs but is in need of clutch housing repair. I have all parts. The tractor also comes with a parts manual. All carts currently run except for cart # 949. All carts will come with a working charger except for #949. All items need some type of repair. All are sold AS IS.

Bidding will be as follows:

Bidding will start on March 19, 2005 at 12:00 AM CST and end at 5:00 PM CST on March 30, 2005.
I've been told high bid will get the item. No reserve.

Brookfield Zoo reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason.

1 bid per item per person. You may bid on multiple items in the same email. Please bid by item # only. ie. Tractor # 129=$$$, Cart # 940=$$$. Please include your name and phone # with your email.

Please bid what you are willing to pay. You will be allowed to bid only once per item.

I will notify you that I have received you email bid. If you don't receive a confirmation email or call from me within 2 days, please call 708-485-0263 ext 539, Wednesday - Saturday between 6 AM CST and 4PM CST and inform me as such.

I've checked into shipping of the golf carts. Nationwide shipping ( lower 48 ) is between $400 and $800. I have not checked into shipping of the tractor. Shipping will be winning bidders responsibility. Area code 60513.

All monies from the sale will go directly back into the Zoo.

Thanks to anyone from here who bid. :) Most of the golf carts sold, and the tractor sold.

The tractor sold for over $2000.

The golf carts sold for between $25 and $250.

The carts that didn't sell may be up again next month with some Grounds equipment. I know there will be a small street sweeper and maybe a chipper. I'll post once I know what is being sold.
