This is the first article I salvaged from the HO world website that I did years ago

Surfs Up - Neal Abramson's mod

This is my first submission to HOWorld. This Project is based on the old Aurora AFX Specialty Ford Woody. Essentially I removed the old hood with a hobby saw & reconstructed the remaining gap with plastruct sheets, building a new firewall. I then drilled and filed a hole in the spare tire on the drivers side running board . I then inserted an old AFX hub to give it a cool detailed effect. Next, I painted the cowl & fenders Italian Red. Then I glued on pieces that I ordered from RRR, specifically the '32 Ford pickup engine & El Camino Surfboards.I completed my project with some silver paint detail. As you an see, it looks a lot better than the stock version and is quite unique!
Best regards,

Awwwe, she's a beauty, a one in a million girl, why would I lie!

I don't know why* that song popped into my head when I saw your custom, man, it sure is sweet! The color really sets it off! (now, where can *I* find a woody to customize. :) )

Doggone Neal- yer a busy feller.
Very clean alteration of that old woody. Probly shouldnt have traded off the one I had.
Everything looks like it "fits" as if it was a factory job and the color works much better than the ol yeller!
Have a goodn- Circle Track DAC

Really nice, I saw somewhere once, someone took a woddy like that and chopped and slammed the roof, looked like a racer.

Hey Neal,

This is one of my all time favorites of yours. A great piece where everything works together. Good colour choice and the little details, like the spare tire holder with the wheel is really inovative. This is one I would mind copying.
I love it!

Thanks for sharing..

Cheers...
