squeeker138 03-18-2005, 12:42 AM Ok Everyone,
It is about time to get outdoors and start racing on the banked concrete track out in Lagrange,In. If anyone does not know the website for the track it is www.rcspeedway.net (http://www.rcspeedway.net/) . See all of you there!
olecarnewguy 03-18-2005, 03:53 PM hey dave / pat do you all know when it is going to start and are we going to have better weather this year ? lol ...... just to let you know i am looking for a nitro truck to race the wifeys losi is out of the question so if some one has one let me know and i am ready to hit the road see ya at the track :freak: :dude:
squeeker138 03-18-2005, 05:49 PM I don't know when Dave is going to start racing just thought that I would get the intrest going for the track. Anytime that there is'nt snow on the track go out and practice.
Krisfo 03-27-2005, 10:46 PM Guys......
Normally he opens ASAP. But in regards to the weather issue(s) I like Summitt's Idea to open first weekend in May......The old saying is April showers bring MAy flowers...
Well in our case....April showers...WHO CARES...May brings SATURDAY NIGHT THUNDER at LITTL DARLINGTON !!!!!!!

SoAzRC 03-28-2005, 10:30 AM I spend mid-June to September in the Angola area and will be bringing my RC stuff this year. Help me cull out some stuff for the trip - what tires hook-up best on the concrete, what is the predominant electric motor run, anyone care to share their set-up? My local track is an off-road with a banked DIRT oval which isn't used too much (to my disappointment). I run T3, B4, TC3 (oval, late model), Sprint (B3 transmission-based), and I just got an L3O pan car. I normally run stock, 27-turn classes, but will up the motors to meet the local rules. Just need some advice...
squeeker138 03-28-2005, 03:58 PM I run a T4 and am rebuilding a b4. In the electrics last year we as the racers decided to just race stock motors.
jimjoni 03-28-2005, 05:32 PM i see all kinds of raing going on this summer, concrete oval and our new track will be high bank dirt oval and off road , two seprate tracks. All kinds of flavors of raing this year.
SoAzRC 03-28-2005, 09:11 PM Squeeker138 -
Really glad to hear you guys reached the same agreement most of us out here have... racing is much more fun when the results are determined by skill of the driver and set-up ability rather than the depths of his pockets to afford the highest rev motor and the latest mah batteries. After all... it is supposed to be fun. Will bring all my 27-turns and look forward to running with you guys...
Micro_Racer 03-30-2005, 08:46 PM You guys going to have another state champ's race? The Ohio BRP crew had a lot of fun last year! Would love to do it again!
Krisfo 03-31-2005, 02:36 AM Keep in mind guys/gals I need to talk to Dave to see about hosting a couple of trophy races again this year.....we will see if I can work something out...but I think Dave will do it again....
I think it would be cool to combine one of my trohy races with the BRP race as long as we get an early start that Saturday......We breezed thru the last race of the year in record time...4 round of qualifying...and the mains and was done a tick after 11pm or so.....
Poor Brian Deel was scrambling though......but HE MADE all his races!!! LIke a pro!!!
Kris
GAMERZ RETREAT 03-31-2005, 03:15 PM yes martin I still have the motor, better hurry though I think splat might beat ya to it. Thanks again everyone for everything please support your local tracks in this area they can't do it with out you. Also great race saturday... Will keep everyone updated were i'm going and when ...will miss everyone...great group of racer's in this area..Sam
rickk5 03-31-2005, 04:29 PM What Classes Do You Offer And What Type Of Tires? Caps Or Foams??
squeeker138 03-31-2005, 06:07 PM Rickk5,
We race gas and elec. trk., gas and elec. touring, 1/18 scale, pan cars and whatever else shows up that night. Gas truck is the largest class.
For tires,Caps work.On trucks, Trc's "Park" are the best. Foams, no one has been able to get them to work except for on the 1/18th scale brp's.
Let us know what you have and we can help you out further.
olecarnewguy 03-31-2005, 08:00 PM sammy you sell that to pat i will kick you lol but give me a call 624 2036 thanks and pat btfo :freak:
rickk5 03-31-2005, 09:23 PM would be running oval pancars, stock or brushless or 19 turn whatever shows up,was curious if anyone runs bsr tires and if so what compound or compounds they are using at your track
rickk5
Krisfo 03-31-2005, 09:58 PM We run BSR Tires....RED Compound and Green compounds. If you try to run anything harder without a crap load of downforce...you will either spin out....or not make the corners under power. Most of the Nitro guys who run either Sprint Cars, Nitro gearbox cars run caps and fly around or track....
Kris

squeeker138 04-01-2005, 01:19 AM i see all kinds of raing going on this summer, concrete oval and our new track will be high bank dirt oval and off road , two seprate tracks. All kinds of flavors of raing this year.
Jim ? for you, what is "raing" ? lol
squeeker138 04-04-2005, 12:01 AM The schoolyard is open for practice for when you feel the need to race outdoors on the banked oval. Dave says that racing will start in a couple of weeks!!!
squeeker138 04-09-2005, 07:35 PM I talked with Norm King he says that he will be out for a few races this year.
squeeker138 04-13-2005, 03:05 AM This week is going to be a fun run so that we can get the cars dialed in. Racing will start the following week on Sat the 23rd of April!!!
squeeker138 04-17-2005, 04:04 AM Several vehicles were out tonight getting some testing in on the oval. Several gas trucks, a couple of elec. trucks, touring cars, and some 18th scalers.
As the season shapes out most of the vehicles are going to be run on Sat. with the 18th's to be run on Sun.
DWBryan 04-23-2005, 10:55 PM Well this saurday was a bust due to the weather, I updated the site a little and still have more to do.
Saturdays are 10th scale electro and nitro and Sundays are 1/18th scale racing.
This sunday dont look good due to our old pal weather again... so far its shaping up to what we had last year... man I need to get a BLDG over that thing.
But when the weather gets settled we can really get started with RC thunder at Little darlington ( Schoolyard Speedway )
Krisfo 04-24-2005, 03:31 AM Velodrome racing got cancelled too!!
So don't feel back...he ( Greg June) I think since he reserved the track andrents it from the city......and already pre-paid for the the usage lost big time due to the weather. However the race will be made up ata later date.....
Which the could put a retractable roof over the Velo like they have in Japan.....that would rock too!!!
Kris
squeeker138 04-24-2005, 05:09 PM Yea,
Hopefully that we don't start off the season the way that we did last year!!! Too cold for my butt to be out there today.
Krisfo 04-28-2005, 10:51 PM Hey guys...
Right now I am finalizing a deal on a race for us. I can't realease any more info than that...however I will be asking about interest on Saturday night at the track.....and the following weekend also.
What I would like to do is since it is gonna be held away from the "HOME" track......I would like it to be a points race. However 3 race sponsors have stepped up to the plate, so points and trohpies can be awarded....and "OTHER" awards are possible!!!
This is the real deal, no BS.....if the deal is finalized it will happen with your support and a good time will be had by all!!!
