When I turn on my 2nd computer it comes up ok and loads all the way to the desktop. When it looks likes its about done my screen turns blue and the following message appears

WINDOWS
a fatal exception 06 has occured at 0000:000044C6. The current
application will be terminated
* press any key, to terminate the current option
* Press ctr, alt, del, again to restart your computer, You wil
lose any unsaved information in all applications
Press any key to continue

WHEN i press any key nothing happens and when I do the ctr, alt, del after it restarts I get the same screen when its done loading.

thats good, usually 98 after a while gets kinda (well i want to crap out on you now) sorta way. good way to keep it running good is a defrag and use scandisk to fix problems and a reinstall to fix registry problems if it gets too bad. i bought a computer with 98 in 98. and well the usuall defrag's etc has kept it running pretty good. oh and if you ever want to upgrade. don't use windows ME, even microsoft is saying go to a higher OS or downgrade to 98. but glad you got it. usually safe mode just runs the required programs etc to run the computer.

you also might wanna do some virus scans on it. possibly one of the startup entries that you unchecked was a virus.
