On cars that have a slot for the front suspension (KSG, X-Factor...ect) what effect would it have to run one side slid back a little further then the other. Also if you were going to do this would you want the right side or left side in the shorter posititon? Just wondering and looking for comments.
Thanks

its called leading.. when you run one side forward more then the other.. ive seen both run.. the most common i have seen and that i use, is leading the left front.. i put the right front slightly back.... it seems to help the car drive off the corner a little better...
For years we used to slot the right front on hyperdrive 0500's and pull it back some,it was used to help the car off the corner. Now i don't know,i've read so much on her about which side does what.

I agree that leading the left front and pulling back the right front will help your car coming off the corner. Leading the right front will help your car entering the corner.
Don't forget to use small increments when offseting. A millimeter or two should be more than enough.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Is this a pretty common thing to do?

Good question Roadsplat. I've always lead the right front to get a better entry and had always heard of people leading with the left front and couldn't figure out why, thinking it couldn't help on entry and never thought about it helping on exit!!!

This should also depend on the track style. For banked tracks the amount of leading should be much less. On a flat track I would think you would need more in order to get it to drive off the corner better. I tried (on accident) leading the left back on a short semi banked oval and it killed the car. It wouldnt handle for poop. Im not saying the overall setup was good at the time but it was definitely bass akwards! So I would recommend with the hyperdrive style cars to lead the right side.
