Hey guys, I recently aquired this raw cuda and it has the clear tires on it, not the black rubber ones! It is factory sealed and I have never seen another one of these before, or even heard of one. Does anyone know anything about this car? Any extra info would be awesome, thanks!!

All The Raw Castings Have Those Tires

Actually the first few raws had black tires, then they went to raw tires, I believe they are limited to 1776 of each..... I think

The first 3 raw cars had black tires. The camaro, the cuda, and the mustang all came with black tires, and i beleive these were only limited to 2500 each, then the fourth raw car...the willys coupe went to the clear tires and limited to only 1776. I have about 5 raw cudas myself, and all have black tires like they should except this one i showed with the clear tires on it. To my knowledge they never made any like this, so maybe my car is a one of a kind, or possible there are a few more out there with clear tires???? I am a pretty heavy collector of the muscle machines, and have pretty much all of the cars in 1:64 to date, including some variations, logo cars, and all that. I was just lookin to show this cuda to see if anyone knew anything about it since its the clear tire variation. Thanks

All The Raw Castings Have Those Tires
incorrect

The Cuda and '66 Mustang are the highest production Raws, 2500 each, the Cuda is the only one I know of where some have clear and some have black tires, clear being the much more rare. The Camaro and Mustang all have black and all Raws from there forward starting with the Willys Coupe all have clear.

yep!!! Glad my knowledge was correct. 2500 each on the first 3 raws. I have heard of a raw mustang being found with clear tires on it, but never saw it, so I cant verify it.

I collect Chevelle's. I found a Raw Chevelle at the Flea Maket in Denver for 5.00. The guy I bought it from said it was UGLY. I had a hard time keeping a straight face when I gave him the money! It says one of 1776 on the package.

I dunno man, I know Fred says it's fake but this is the 3rd one I've seen, so either the same one keeps getting passed around or somebody made a couple which makes no sense since you'd have to cannabalize another raw that is worth the same amount of $$$. Did you get this one from Felber? If not I tend to think there are a few real ones, much stranger things have come out of China.

You know, i dont remeber the name of the dude I got it from. I got it as a set on ebay, came with this cuda, and a regular black tire cuda as well. I asked him if it was a custom, and he swore it is the real deal. He was claiming it was an fep raw cuda, which we know it is not, its just got the clear tires. But I have heard of a raw mustang being found with clear tires, so who knows....might just be a few of them out there. All in all, I would still claim this car to be factory sealed to my knowledge, and if it does happen to be a custom car....well whomever blistered it back up did one hell of good job, cuz I inspected it very carefully.....I guess I may never know if its real or not??? Cool car though

Just think of all the things that China has shipped that they shouldn't have, FEPS, the dark green Chevy Pick Up, the non-FEP white Mustangs and non-FEP green GTOs, long card VA, all the UK cars, etc, etc plus no one in thier right mind is gonna open a $10-$15 car to make a fake $10-$15 car. The factory uses heat to seal the blister packs, if there is any glue on yours it should show up under a black light. Even a really good reblister can be spotted when it's actually in your hands and you can examine it up close. I gotta vote real, there's just too much other oddball stuff out there to say it 100% can't be real. Just like that card you have with the orange truck, those shouldn't have gotten out either, the only time I've ever seen that card used was on prototypes.

thanks dude, I think its real as well. And yep...I know how hard it is to reblister a car....its just not the same, and this raw cuda shows no signs at all of a reblister. So I must say real as well. Thanks for all your help as well. I am trying to get as much knowledge about the MM line as I can.
