Opening day on the concrete will be Sunday April 3rd, we will run every Sunday for the month of April and then on April 30th we'll be switching our schedule over to Saturday nights (for the season) and begin our point series for Saturday night racing. I wanted to get some feedback on classes this season. We're going to offer 4 cell 10th, 4 cell 12th (there will be cap tires available for 12th in time for the season), and a Stock touring class. What we're thinking for this season is adding a Spec class which will consist of a spec motor and a 6 cell spec pack. We would like to leave the brushes, body and tires open for this season. We would be offering this class as a cost controlled class to make racing affordable for every racer out there. The last thing we want to do is split the stock class up so this class depends on the feedback. But for now there's still a few weeks of "Bullring" action left and the points race is heating up!

Just wanted to remind everyone that next Sunday April 3rd is the Spring Shakedown on the concrete track so dust off those cap cars and lets do some drafting. I checked the 10 day weather report and its says 57 and partly sunny http://techtalk.teamtrinity.com/tt/images/smilies/eek.gif HEAT WAVE LOL. I'd love to be a weatherman, its the only job you can be wrong more than half the time and still be employed.LOL. :p

Will foams work on this track?

On the Bullring indoor track yes, foams are used, on the concrete superspeedway cap tires are the way to go. The cap tires outlast foams 100 times over. There are guys running tires that are more than 2 years old.

brandon bsr cap tires greens on the left blues on the right side your choice of stager. 16-20 per tire on lefthander rc site so a set of 4 would be about 75 bucks

Thanks for the reply CAP. I normally race at Carolina RC Speedway in SC in the 6 cell spec class just like you guys are talking about running this year. I am working in Elmsford, NY temporarily and will probably still be up here when your season opens.
If you still plan on debuting this class I will definitely try to attend. Please take it easy on a redneck though......
Looking forward to it.

I'll be watching the weather very closely today so keep an eye on the threads today because I don't want to postpone opening day until next Sunday unless I really have to. I will make the final decision by this evening. Thanks!

As of right now there is only a 50% chance of "liquid evil". I really want to get this season under way so I'm gonna hold out until tomorrow. At 9:00am I will make the FINAL call. Sorry, to keep everyone hanging I just want to make a clean cut decison.:)

Racing this week will be on Saturday afternoon/night (if the weather holds out) and is week 1 of the point series (best 6 out of 8). The first heat will go off at 5:30pm. Also, just wanted to let everyone know that with all the new battery cells coming out we really don't want a battery war so we are going to stick with the ORL rules and allow only the 3300 cells, if and when the ORL changes the ruling on the batteries we will adjust accordingly to allow the new cells. See everybody on Saturday. :)

I'm going to be watching the weather really close between tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday. I think tomorrow is still gonna be a washout and Sunday will be the alot better but I don't want to get ahead the game. I will make a race decision by 2pm tomorrow.:)

Well, I'm gonna say today is a washout so we'll be racing tomorrow. I'll have the track open by 10:00 am and the first heat will go off at 12pm. :)

Can anyone give me general setup for Track70. Compounds, stagger, Net or Prolite radials, rear wedge, wing on body or pod, front caster & springs and shock setups.

Thanks

Hey Tom,
I can tell you what setup I run, which varies from others...
Right now I am running Green Pro lite L on the left side w/ a narrow LR and Blue Net S right sides (wide RR)
I am running a green progressive on the RF and Green LF spring... (most guys run stiffer front springs purple or even black)
I'm running an HPI shock spring (blue) not sure of the rate...fairly stiff
50 wt center shock #2 piston I believe,
35wt side shocks bronze springs
ORC stiff spring steel t-plate
I am currently running a hyperdrive with an offset pod but am going to try to run straight up...
Currently I run a wing on the body, some are running it mounted on the pod.
and run quite a bit of ride height... left side tends to drag if you run too low ...
hope this helps...

Ok people as you know turnout has been a little light for our Saturday night racing, so in order try and get some new racers and some old racers back in the fold, we are going to go back to alternating schedules on Sundays and Saturdays (like we did last year) starting on Sunday July 10th. Start times for both days will be 12:00pm. As most of you know I DO NOT like making changes like this, but I feel in this case it will benifit alot of racers that want to race but have a tough time with Saturday nights. I still have some finalizing to do because of our Paul Heitz memorial race (which will still be on Aug. 6th) but as of right now week #1 of the Sunday point series will be July 10th and week #1 of the Saturday point series will be July 16th. The next 2 weeks will still be on Saturday night with a start time of 5:30 then we will go to Sundays on the 10th. If anyone has any questions just shoot me an email Lcoopey26@comcast.net Please no death threats LOL.

Ok fellaz, let it NEVER be said that I don't fight for you guys and this track. With that in mind, entry for Sunday's racing will be $12.00 http://www.trax70.com/blahdocs/Smilies/shock.gif. So lets get the word out and get some people trackside because there's only a few more concrete races left.

ROLLCALL.............
