View Full Version : Tyco Guide
Ligier Runner 03-11-2005, 12:15 PM Just saw a Renault F1 slot on epay (the black wing version) and the seller mentioned it was #2 in the Tyco guide for collectible cars. I've seen a few other cars mentioned here and there as being rare/collectible and referencing this same Tyco guide.
My question is for anyone that has one of these guides...what is the rarest or most collectible of the Indy/F1 cars?
boss9 03-11-2005, 06:23 PM Hey LR,
I checked both books I have and it seems the Renault and the Patrick Indy, have the rarer versions, and also the Alfa-Romeo is listed as a #1 on the rarity scale.
The Valvoline and K-mart cars have versions that are listed as “0” availability (never produced).
The guy I mentioned in the BTTF thread had a “test shot” of an unfinished Marlboro car, and a translucent orange F-1 which would be the rarest I know of.
Cheers..
HEADBANGER 03-11-2005, 07:36 PM #22 Marlboro Motta
#15 Black tail Renault
#40 dk blu STP Patrick
These three are listed as 1 on the availability scale
there are numerous # 2 on the same scale.
At one time I had every Indy car/F1 including
all variations, Sadly I decided to sell them all
on epay! Back then I got around 300 bucks for
my black tail and about the same for my dk blu
patrick #40, there is currently one of these on
ebay now that I'm watching to see how high it
goes.

AfxToo 03-11-2005, 10:41 PM That Renault is an awesome slot car...... but don't let the kiddies Google to find one.
GoodwrenchIntim 03-12-2005, 09:10 AM Ive seen the #40 drk blue go for $700 on epay :O That was a couple years ago durring the "slot car rush" seems prices have dropped alot since then, all the high dollar cars then are going dirt cheep now :( wish I would have waited on some of mine
Ligier Runner 03-12-2005, 04:40 PM Wow! LOL...I have the #22 Marlboro and the #40 STP. The 22 car isn't in beautiful shape but it's nice and my 40 car IS in immaculate condition since I never really ran it.
Thanks guys!
HEADBANGER 03-13-2005, 09:14 AM Great, Take very good care of that #40, playing off your handle "Ligier Runner" I assume you like Ligier's, there is one on ebay that appears to be in C9 condition that has a buy it now for 125.00, this has a rating of 2, in case you are wondering the scale goes to 5 being the easiest to find. P.S. 125.00 is what they go for on average.

Ligier Runner 03-13-2005, 11:32 AM Thanks for the tip on that auction. I have one of those but I think there might have been a couple versions. Not sure of that.
My name derives from the Aurora G+ I ran over 20 years ago and helped me grab a trophy or two. That thing was set up sweet and rode the rails absolutely perfectly.
HEADBANGER 03-13-2005, 01:08 PM Ligier, Yes there are two versions, on the front wing, one has silver paint and other one was just plain blue, I don't "think" one is any more valuable then the other.
