I had this car since 1974 it was made by radio shack (its a radio control car) it dont run (it is worn out by me lol) Umm any of you know who this is? I had this car since then and it has been sitting on my display forever. I am thinking about making a slot car out of it. Please check the website below to see the picture.Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Wes!
Angel Ruben Monguzzi & Reinhold Joest drove a 917 for Wyer with #48 similar to the decals on your car, but it wasn't sponsored by Martini.
Gerard Larrousse, and Vic Elford (among others) drove Martini & Rossi sponsored 917s numbered 3,4,38, and others, but I couldn't find a Martini being numbered 48.

Upon further review, I did find that Joest & Mongo drove a Porsche 917k numbered 48 at the 1971 Buenos Aires 1000 Km race. The car retired after 85 laps due to engine malfunction. Couldn't find a pic, but car was entered by TeamAuto Usdau (Zitro?). May have carried Martini decals, but in the same race, two other cars were entered with Martini International showing as the entry, where the #48 car was shown as TeamAuto.
I can't for sure tell you the exact decal placement, or recall all the sponsor names on the race cars I drove in my short (and very expensive) racing career, so I think that if you would want to pick a driver name (or both - as was usual), no one is going to have a cow, or get the Vapors.
I'd go with these names, one above the other on both sides from about the top of the door windows: Reinhold Joest (don't forget the umlat-wherever) Ruben Monguzzi

Now I can get on with my search for that elusive yellow with a green nose Ferrari 512m that I haven't been able to find a pic of for three years.

Your car did win LeMans in 1971, but the correct number would be 22.
Car was co-driven to victory by 29 year old Dutchman Gijs Van Lennep, and 28 year old Austrian Helmut Marko. Their names were not visible in the pictures I've seen.
