The casting's all wrong. I was thinking more of Treat Williams or Doug McClure or Gil Gerard or Henry Silva or Clu Gulager or Jamie Farr or ... :freak:

Wow. They cast the only guy who can make Patrick Wayne look like a good actor.
Kudos, dudes.

I hope they have RH as a consultant. His creations had real personality. cgi seem to be generic monsters to me.

And speaking of Ray Harryhausen (and I am a major fan) - I have always thought that he sort of lost his touch with Clash of The Titans (that little R2D2 owl wasn't his fault). I don't know how much assistance (if any) he had on that movie but I remember feeling that his work wasn't quite up to par and that feeling has been reinforced when I have run across the movie on television. I'm betting he knew he was losing it and that's why he retired.

To do remakes and continue franchises is one thing but to do 'now actors'versions of old movies, I don't know if that's remaking good movies or just doing movies of old ideas because they're running out of GOOD ideas.

The original Flight Of The Pheonix was great but yeah, with old Hollywood actors. Does that mean it should be remade though like it was just to feature current actors?

Just read that there's going to be a remake of Walter Hill's "The Warriors". Tony Scott is directing and scripting is by one of the writers for "The Sopranos" so there's hope that it won't be a waste. Of course, "The Warriors" was based on a novel which was based on an ancient Greek fable - so, there ya' go.

I ran that idea by research and developement earlier and they said there's no room in the budget for an original creative thought. However, they were working up this concept about this lifeguard that fights crime with the help of his hi-tech talking dune buggy which is actually his reincarnated mother.

The bad casting out of Hollywood continues and it just keeps getting worse. Cary Elwes would make a better choice for Sinbad.

Sadly, I think Cary attended the Michael Caine & John Saxon Do Anything For a Buck Acting Academy quite a while back.

Heck, Sinbad would have made a better choice for Sinbad in this case. rr
