StreetFreak 03-08-2005, 02:08 PM KILLER pics Dude!
Is that WICKED or what??? It looks like it could eat-up everything in it's path, and heck...I'm not really a heavy Ford guy!
Fast Eddie 03-08-2005, 02:47 PM Very nice casting, even though I am still not used to the low profile tires on old muscle.
robmcin 03-08-2005, 03:37 PM Nope, not with those wheels, those things just make me want to puke, sorry
midtown 03-08-2005, 06:12 PM I cant get past the wheels either.
reekman 03-08-2005, 10:54 PM To each his own.........
JDogg 03-08-2005, 11:40 PM I'm sorry but I do NOT like the way they did the lights!
StreetFreak 03-09-2005, 09:24 AM Hey reekman!
Who cares what the other think about those low profile tires cause we both know how unbelieveable the handling is with that kind of rubber!
I bet in real life, especially with that extremely low stance, that the G-force alone on a car like that would lock your eyeballs right in their sockets, cranking into the turns. I get chills just thinkin about it!
I have the feeling that most of the negatives come from those that have never driven anything but VWs, Tractors, and Pickup Trucks!:p:p:p
midtown 03-09-2005, 12:09 PM I've had my fair share of "cool cars". But this looks like the result of a Compton car jacking. Sorry it's just too far fetched for me.

Well, you would be wrong in this case. I have road raced (not street raced) Mustangs, Trans Ams and a Fiero for the last 30 years or so.. it is not the 35 series tires that irritate me, it is the 24 inch rims they stuck on the car, they look like crap, IMHO.. as reekman said to each his own, but you should watch generalzations, my friend
StreetFreak 03-09-2005, 04:15 PM Hey Rob...
I apologize if you took offense to that statement. I was some what kidding with it, and never thought that it would be taken that personally.
I'm not really a Ford man per say, but really liked the car that was being presented, and was trying to add some positive instead of all the negative that were being said. I too agree with reekman's statement "to each is own", and also believe in both of our rights...to say what we think.:)

No offense taken.... thus the "my friend" at the end of my reply. Just wanted to let you know which part of the car I was sickened by.
The car itself is very nice, but all the positive is wiped out for me by those wheels... I just can't get past them, I wish they would have done something different on these muscle cars, that's all.
Sorry if my reply seemed as if I was upset, I wasn't..
reekman 03-09-2005, 10:27 PM I think all you guys might be missing the real point.............
These aren't really replica's and ar'nt meant to be....
Auto sculpture........... and as that I think it hits the mark.........
I sell diecast on the weekend and have heard all the complaints about Dubs.....
But in my experience the style and execution, ususlly win them over.......
Especially with the BTM's.................
JDogg 03-10-2005, 12:59 AM It's just like reekman said, "To each his own." That is true. I just don't like the lights, that's all. Otherwise yes it is a very sweet car.:dude:I actually do like those low profile tires myself. Just like the tires take out all the positive for Rob; the lights take alot of the positive out for me.:wave:
rlyoung1 03-10-2005, 02:57 AM I don't like the big speakers.
StreetFreak 03-10-2005, 12:09 PM I don't like the big speakers.
Hey Rick...
That's probably because your not used to having a back seat in you Chevy Pickup Truck! :p

I do have a back seat, I just don't use it as a speaker box.
stevbike 03-10-2005, 03:05 PM At first, I really do not that to the Dub style cars but some of them have grown on me. They just reflect the current interest in real car customizing.
It would be nice to see some of theses cars done up in a more realistic manner.
My real car has been changed a bit making it a bit of a BIG toy to play with. It is just a little Geo Metro but I like it. Check it out at the link. And I do have one big speaker in the back that does work and is enjoyed anytime I am on the road!! :)

Bugzy 03-10-2005, 04:33 PM Very nice Geo stevbike..!!
and appropriately named......."Dragon Heart"...
wouldn't mind going for a ride in that one with the sound cranked up ...! ;)
D-68pontiac 03-10-2005, 09:50 PM that stang looks freakin sweet! im not really into those rims and stuff either but these jada cars really catch your eye.
stevbike 03-11-2005, 01:37 AM The funny thing with the name of the car is the fact that it is one of the slower cars built. It is funny to see people (mostly kids) get a laugh out of seeing it when they see what it is!!
With the wheels and pinstripping, it looks a lot like a big Hot Wheels. Only much more expensive to keep up!!
Getting back to the Mustang and the other Jada muscle cars, it is nice to see some modern ways of seeing these old cars. It may not suit some people but is shows there still is interest in these old cars. It my get some younger fans to look at buying the real ones and fixing them up some day in their own way.
Very nice Geo stevbike..!!

glhshelby 03-12-2005, 12:37 AM looks decent with the wheels, but 24`` looking wheels are just a little to much, maybe 18`s or 20`s at the most.Once they get above the wheel lips it way to ugly . Also you listen to the motor in a car like that not speakers.Good casting though
JDogg 03-13-2005, 11:45 PM The more I see it the more it grows on me too. I'm not saying that I like the lights but it is becoming ok the more I see it.
roadrner 03-14-2005, 11:17 AM Being old school, I've really never gotten into the big wheel/low profile thing of today. Just seems out of proportion to me when I look at a car set up that way. I will say that this body does look sweet, but I would have opted for some of the original Shelby wheels or something similar with a little more meat on them. But to each their choice. rr
T/A Tom 03-15-2005, 08:30 PM Have not seen that. Hope they do a Firebird soon.
