Howdy Slotheads,
Here is the finished Corvette I posted in the "praise the lowered" thread a few days ago. Now it's a WISSOTA superstock dirt car. Thot posting pics now
would be a good idea since I'm gonna beat the sh--crap out of it Sunday at the high banks of Binford World Speedway! These type of cars tend to be sorta generic like "template bodies" in nascar so it aint really a Monte Carlo, Taurus or whatever. Just a dirt car. Someday I will get a decent camera so I aint takin pics thru a magnifyin glass.
Have a good'n --- Circle Track DAC

Dac,
I've got to hand it to you--You make the best type of these cars on the board--bar none--in my opinion!
Your exposure to the 1/1 racing and your enthusiasim for it has rubbed off nicely in your slot car hobby, and it really shows through. When I look at your cars I can always imagine a race about to start. Although I'm not a competitor, I may want to commision you to send me a couple of bodies for display--I like them that much.
Keep posting pics of your excellent work. We can't get enough!
Cheers, Mate!

Thanks guys-
Certainly appreciate the comps from yall! Its a no brainer that I aint much help in the other types of cars that is the main interest here but this is what we race and man, theres 50 + years to draw off of! Every body I build has to also have the function of bein competitve on the track. I cant handle puttin the work into em then not racin 'em.
Ya they get scarred up but that gives em their personality! This summer some of the older ones are gonna get parts glued back on, mounted on some pullbacks and become shelf queens as ya can only put so much glue in em and still have em fit--HAHA
Glad yall like my narrow interest in HOs -- Circle Track DAC

Neal-
Ya must have responded while I was writin responses. I built 2 Earnhardt cars several years ago but I cant see them damn black cars good enuff under racin conditions so they got repainted. My brother in law, altho an old fart too, has built a lot of Earnhardt dirt and pavement cars and can still see em somehow! I will tell him to post his Dale Sr. stuff if he dont read this. By the way Neal, If yer makin the decals like on the Bently, The font of the number 3 is Euopean Bold Extended so you can have a little more accuracy on the number shape. Slant it at 25 degrees to the right on the passenger side and 25 degrees left on the drivers side. Roof was same as the passenger side. That will get ya close. Hope ya dont think I'm nit pickin-just info ya might want.
Thanks Neal! --- Circle Track DAC

WOoooooooooEeeeee, Doug! You are fabricating those bodies by hand? Ever think about re-popping them in resin? I know there is some tough resin out there because the fray guys use it.
Those cars are simply SmAsHiNg!
Good luck at the races!
