View Full Version : my opinion of halle berry just went up razorwyre1 02-27-2005, 09:24 AM http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=index&cid=856 John P 02-27-2005, 09:31 AM Good girl! John O 02-27-2005, 09:34 AM That's pretty cool, she really didn't have to show up. A very good sport, I'd say. John O. Capt. Krik 02-27-2005, 03:30 PM Well, I've got to say that I have new found respect for Halle. I can even forgive her for Catwoman. To Halle: Don't depend on your agent to check the scripts for their BS quality. He's only looking at his commission. El Gato 02-27-2005, 05:49 PM I always liked a good sport! José SJF 02-27-2005, 06:11 PM Now THAT is a class act! Bravo Halle! Sean http://www.mcfergesondvd.com/ mb1k 02-27-2005, 07:47 PM It's nice that she did that and I applaud her from a PR point of view. That was the "right" thing to do. However, my opinion of her is still less that respectable. After she fled the scene of a hit and run, which she t-boned a car, I will forever despise her. The only reason she owned up to it was that after half a day, she checked her ownself into an emergency room. What do you think was the rationale behind that? She was obviously drunk when she hit the poor unsuspecting woman and then had to wait to sober up and be legal before going to the ER. Search it on Google. :drunk: mb1k 02-27-2005, 07:51 PM LOS ANGELES –– A woman involved in a hit-and-run crash with Halle Berry is suing the actress, accusing her of negligence. Authorities believe Berry, 31, ran a red light and collided with Hetal Raythatha's car before speeding off on Feb. 23. Raythatha, 27, said in her lawsuit that she believes either Berry or other defendants not identified were under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the accident. Raythatha said she is permanently disabled from back injuries and emotional distress. She is seeking unspecified damages. Berry's spokesman, Allan Mayer, said the actress "intends to do what she can to make things right." "But that doesn't mean she will allow anyone to take advantage of an unfortunate situation or make slanderous insinuations," Mayer said. "As the police have confirmed, there is absolutely no evidence indicating that drugs or alcohol played any part in the accident." The sheriff's department has asked prosecutors to file criminal charges. District Attorney Gil Garcetti said the case is under review. mb1k 02-27-2005, 07:54 PM 2000-Needed 22 stitches to close wound on her forehead received in a February 23 Los Angeles car accident; later pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of leaving the scene of an accident; driver of other car involved filed a civil suit seeking damages; lawsuit was resolved in an out of court settlement in May 2001. John P 02-27-2005, 09:32 PM I think we get it! Griffworks 02-27-2005, 10:02 PM But wait, John! Give him a chance! He's not yet gotten the drill out to really put that message into your head! ;) Zorro 02-27-2005, 10:46 PM ... so, in other words, because Ms. Berry has money, the other party received greater monetary rewards than they would have otherwise. It would be interesting to know if - given the choice - the injured party would prefer that the accident never happened - or whether they see it as fortuitous occurance. Since we're all s'posin here - I'm betting the injured party would choose the injury - and the monetary compensation received as a result. dreamer 02-27-2005, 10:51 PM Oh, not this again! Let me edit this, rewrite it...mb1k, I don't remember who it was that started a fight with me last time over this. Maybe it was you. Maybe someone else. It's none of my business, but whoever it was sounded like someone who'd lost someone they loved in to a careless driver. I hope that's not the case. Sincerely. All the same - and this may sound cruel - I don't think you're objectively weighing the evidence. There's no question that Barry was responsible for the accident. All the evidence points to that. The immediately apparent injury reported by the other woman was a broken bone in her hand while Barry suffered a trauma to the head. The head. Her actions subsequent to that blow to the head are commonplace, known to every pshysician, and well documented: confusion and later amnesia. She was operating under mental blackout conditions. Her confused, contradictory statements to the police, her leaving the scene to return home, her driving to her doctor oblivious to the crash itself. The media circus and the other woman involved have misrepresented the aftermath to villify her as some monster who "fled the scene", "lied to police", "was under the influence", and in the eyes of some fanatics practically tried to get away with near murder. Oh, yes, she's aq rich Hollywood celebrity so she's selfish and thinks she's above the law...having a freakin' severe blow to the head is no excuse for operating under a mental blackout. This is tabloid reporting. This is how tabloids make money, exploiting resentment against the rich and famous. It's spin. Last time, whoever it was responded by making hysterical accusations about me thinking drunk drivers are peachy keen. I don't want to go down that idiotic path again in this thread. If it's necessary to to present "creds", I've nearly been killed twice by drivers who were either not paying attention or were incompetent. I know the time my car was hit by a drunk driver, I was happy. His insurance complany gave me money, and there wasn't enough damage to my car to even bother taking it to the garage. F91 02-28-2005, 02:44 AM Halle Berry is on my list. John P 02-28-2005, 08:48 AM Halle Berry is on my list. List hell, she's on my screensaver! http://www.inpayne.com/smilies/drool.gif terryr 02-28-2005, 04:19 PM I saw the speech on TV. It was a copy of her oscar speech. Very Funny. Jimmy B 03-01-2005, 03:10 PM All I know is my 'Opinion' isn't the only thing that goes up when Halle's on screen....;) Bobman 03-03-2005, 12:22 AM All I know is my 'Opinion' isn't the only thing that goes up when Halle's on screen....;) Nah. Just watch a porno and stop wasting time on Halle Berry. :o Well she did have that scene in Monster Balls. Bob John P 03-03-2005, 08:53 AM She was staring at me this morning. I was next to a bus at a red light, and there was an ad for her Lifetime TV movie on the side. Just a simple full-face photo of the lady. If the bus hadn't moved first I'd have missed the light. Say hat you want about her personally, but the woman is quite a beauty. eidted to correct really bad spelling. Griffworks 03-03-2005, 10:39 AM "Meh. Seen lots better. Would make a nice porn star."Heh... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
