I know gunn uses this for a clearcoat and I've read about it on HotWorldCustoms.com.

It can be sprayed through an airbrush, as is, right? It seems like this stuff would clog the airbrush if it dries. How do you clean it out?

Lastly, is it compatible with automotive touch-up paint, such as Duplicolor? (I guess it's automotive paint??)

no dont put it in the air brush.
put it in a spray bottle and mist your car
a cheap spray bottle cost around 49 cents to a dollar.
put back what you dont use back in the futura bottle and rinse the spray bottle with soap and water. i just used it on duplicolor paint it had no reaction but try it on something else before you do your project.

Alright, Thanks!
Good thing I asked about the airbrush! :freak:

i like using a soft rag lint free of course. its self leveling and i can control the thickness i want better. dont rub just brush it with the rag

I tried that on a few cars, but it usually takes many applications to get the results I want. This time I'm hoping to apply it a little thicker and hopefully make it really smooth.

When I use it on slot cars, I dip the whole body in the stuff. I was skeptical when I first tried that, but I was advised by a guy who custom paints and sells slot bodies... works GREAT. This Eldorado was dipped:

You know, I thought about that, but I thought it would end up being thicker on one end of the car if you hang it somehow.

Dipping sure would be easy. I'll have to think about this one....:)

That's what I thought too. The guy I talked to told me to just dunk the body and then take it out and hold it pretty much level and right-side-up. (This is easy for me; I attach my slot car bodies to the end of a dowel when I paint them. I actually screwed a dummy chassis to the end of the dowel, and just install the body on the chassis. Dunno if you could do that with diecast...) Then while it's wet, just barely touch a paper towel or rag to the bottom edge if it looks like it's thick or there's a drop forming. The excess will "wick" right off onto the paper towel. Sounds too easy, but it worked. Try it on a junk body. You'll be surprised.
