It was actually just a daydream, a couple of thoughts in close proximity that got thrown together. At the top of one of the slot car board pages, I saw a Tamiya banner, and I thought...

Imagine if some engineer at Tamiya got bitten by the Tjet bug, and Tamiya produced a run of Thunderjet chassis?

Mmmmmmm.

Whisper-smooth runners out of the box, case after case. Tolerances so close as to make grown men weep. Perfectly concentric wheels. Perfectly balanced armatures. Every chassis a potential Fray racer.

Excuse me, I need to go lie down...

*sniffle* Rick, man...you move me.
Lyrics by QUEEN (partial)

The machine of a dream, such a clean machine.
With the pistons-a-pumpin', the hubcaps all gleem.

I'm holding your wheel. all I hear is your gear
With my hand on your greasegun, its like a disease, son.

I'm in love with my car, got a feel for my automobile
get a grip on my boy-racer rollbar, it's such a thrill when your radials squeel....

dude, that's above and beyond... the imagery is... er.. suggestive. If there was any doubt in my mind about Freddie Mercury before, well, that erases it.

what's the title of the song?

How about a 1/10th slot car track outdoors. I tried RC, but I like the slot and I think a huge outdoor slot car track would be awesome.

Can you imagine a four laner at that scale. Then you have to deal with the elements. :freak: rr

Sorry to rain on your parade but Tamiya came close to producing a H:O car about 3 years ago.

It was in-line driven and had neo mags.
