I have a question about XXX-4 G+ & XXX-S G+ drive-trains. Are they basically the same? I'd assume their gear ratios are different. But are the put together and adjusted in a same/similar manner?

I know it may sound like a silly reason to ask, but the reason I'd like to know is to see if knowledge gained by assembling a XXX-S would be useful in the assembly of a XXX-4.

The diff pulleys are IDENTICAL... There is a difference in the final drive ratio, but that comes from different size center pulleys (the one attached to the spur gear)... I used to have a XXX-4, and I still race XXX-S's onroad....

Thanks for the info Tom. I just got off the phone with my LHS and have a XXX-S G+ on order. It should be here either Friday or early next week. In the future I'd like to get a XXX-4 G+.
