Looking to get info on the new orion v2 motors. I would like to see what people think of this motor. I am also looking for information on techniques to give this motor more performance. Also where to get brushes and springs for the v2.

They are awesome motors! They dont have more power than traditional mods, but they last a long time between rebuilds. 30 runs! The sprint brushes will not last that long and increase power a little. Never played with springs. They do take a little more cleaning in a dirty outdoor enviroment, dust gets lodged next to the brush in the tube and the brush will hang up. I've heard people stuff cotton in the tube to help this problem.

Both my son and I run them and we like them ALOT. I think what 22 racer said is right, they don't have more power than other Mods (But not less either), but don't seem to need as much maintenance as other mods of the same winds.

Keep in mind they like to be geared a little lower than other motors. It is my under standing that the mod version (verses the touring version) is a little more efficient.
Oh and I really like mine.

I have not run mine yet, but on the dyno they seem a little under powered. The tourque seems high compared to the rpm. Has anyone run this motor in oval cars. How do they perform.

I will be getting on for oval shortly. What I've heard from preliminary testing propably matches what you have heard before. You need to drop 1 wind to get similar power, but they are super effecient. They definately arn't any slower than the Ti motors, as to how much faster if they are indeed faster has yet to be determined.
