I don't get it, so the top 35 in points every week are guarenteed starting spots right? So at the beginning of the year this means it's based on last years points right? So a new team, starting out will have to race thier way in while 35 others don't have to worry about it. So the new team has to work harder then 35 other teams?

And before anyone says new teams that aren't in the top 35 aren't that good anyway think about this, any driver (JR, Gordon, ect) could lose thier ride and have to start out in a new team. Or go to a ride that wasn't top 35 in owner points.

I think it should be a pure qualifying, top 43 qualifying speeds get in the race, no provisionals, no top 35 in points.

Couldn't agree more. The way it was....the way it should be.

I agree also! But how do you think the network or NASCAR would react if Jr and Gordon wrecked or blew an engine in qualifying and couldn't make the race.
