Does anyone remember this kit? It was a re-issue of an earlier version. There was also a kit called Space Pursuit with a Space Police and Pirate ship, that were two older kits re-issued together. Interestingly, they were not in the same scale. I would love to see these again. How 'bout it REVELL?

That astronaut is like... hip, man.

Yeah, I had this one when I was a kid. But, I used the "Solaris" decals on the doors of a car model that I had. I really wish I could remember what that car was called and who made it! It was probably a Revell or AMT. It was molded in white and looked like a Corvette except that it had a double bubble dome - I bought it because it kind of reminded me of the Barris Batmobile. I'd love to find that car again. For years I thought that the car was a "Solaris" until I happened upon that same picture of the Space Explorer - then, I remembered that that was just where I'd gotten those decals! Doh!
