Does anyone have any black chrome chase cars..?
Any pics.? they seem to be limited in numbers and more expensive to buy..
just wondered if they were worth it and if fellow collectors thought they looked better than the regular edition cars..here are a couple from Supercars http://www.supercar1.com/cart/CarDetail.asp?item_id=1999&

I have a black chrome '62 Pontiac Catalina 421SD I got in a trade a couple of years ago. It cost me $60 in trade items. I haven't check to see what it might be worth now, but I'm not worried about it as I plan on keeping it.
I also have a silver chrome '68 Pontiac GTO that I found in Target at a much better price of $20.00 Gonna keep this one too.
These are the only 2 cars in this scale that I have.

The picture doesn't quite do it justice. I think the chromes are pretty neat, but I'd still like to get the painted versions of both of these some day.

I've only had a few............

They have come as 1 car out of a case of 6............

How good they look depends on the car as much as anything else..................

Best I've had was a 70 GSX...............

The 421SD black chrome looks very sharp..have you displayed it yet..? had been looking for the 69 SS396 Chevelle...and the 77 Trans Am ....the TA is a must have...!! and the more I look at the Sox and Martin...the more appealing it looks with a bit of color..

haven't seen the 70 GSX yet...got a pic Reekman..? and you are probably right about the car selection...the TA fits the bill on this...

I haven't taken it out of the box yet. It sits as is on a shelf with the GTO. One of these days I'll buy a couple of the display cases for them.

The GSX is pretty easy to find, its in Ertls Shining Star series, they are all chrome so its not a chase. it is sharp.

Gadzooks n' Egads!!

My collection of ERTL Chase is a moderate one. I don't have that much space to
store die cast cars but I've managed to acquire a few nice cars. Sorry I don't have
a camera. I'm but a poor lad. I save my money for die cast cars and not cameras.
Chase Cars:

I have some too .. Havent taken any pics of them . I think most of the Chase cars from the last couple years are black chrome . The current TRU ones are the first that I know of in colored Chrome ... The Shining Stars Chrome cars series - I think had only 3 or 4 cars in it . I got the Mustang & Cuda .
As with any Chase cars , They will cost more $$ , unless you're the lucky one to find it in the store at regular price .....

Nice car. I've been checking prices and contemplating getting that one but in the black with white stripes. I just wish it came with the L88 hood like the silver with black stripes Camaro. I see they made convertible of each...very strange to see a '71 RS Z28 with its roof cutoff.

Do you have the black crome version or the silver chrome?

I have the Silver chrome...mainly because I wanted the L88 hood..Very nice..!
..the black chrome one is more of a standard version...126 made of each chrome series...the silver chrome seems to be harder to come by..
...didn't know that they had a convertible version released..this car is really detailed out by Performance Years..

Egads N' Gadzooks!

My most favorite Chase car out of what I own is the
'67 Shelby Mustang GT 500. I couldn't believe my eyes
when I saw it on the shelf at TRU a few years back. It
stood out like a silver nugget amongst the other normally
painted ERTL cars.
I have found all of my ERTL chase on the shelf and
have never purchased an ERTL from the secondary
market. I like the hunt to much!
