Car's owned by Ganassi Racing. Bill and Coors (with Melling Racing) had one of the most successful relationships in NASCAR history from 1984-1991. My guess is that Coors badly wanted to be in a race sponsored by rival brewery Budweiser. And since Marlin didn't win any poles last year, this was the only way to do it. And WHAT A WAY TO DO IT IT IS!
If only the car was a Ford, had a Melling decal on the hood and trunk, and numbered 9, it would be just like old times.
In other words, I may not give a rat's behind about NASCAR this year, but there's no way I'm missing the Bud Shootout!
And if they're making diecast of this one, I'll be picking one up in 1/64.
