How do you change an engine from points and cond. to solid state,(no points)? I can get the part for $15.00, is the hookup difficult? My points
are under the fly wheel. By the way, sorry for all the questions I have learned a lot from you guys.

oo well a briggs is way easier because you can use the flywheel just the same, um it should just go under the flywheel and be like a solid state without a new flywheel, unless the magnets have worn out.

it just snaps on the coil verry verry simple and they work great , just be sure to clean the copper colored stuff off the wire good you can scrape it off or a little piece of sand paper works good , you just clip the wire that goes to the points and stick the one from the coil togather with the one that dead shorts to kill easy has good instructions with it too ,,the part # is 394970 briggs
