The new Traders Rating System is now in use and is the official area to use to rate other traders. After 3 weeks of testing we have had over 1300 ratings done on over 450 members!
With this system members can leave good, neutral or negitive ratings along with comments on other members. You can find a person's rating by clicking the members name on any thread to view their profile. Then clicking the number next to the Traders Link at the bottom right of their Profile. See the red circle in the attached traderratings01.gif below.
A member can hide their Trader Rating by deleting all of the info in the Additional Info area of their Profile. See attached traderratings03.gif attached below. If you want your Trader rating to show, you HAVE to put something in at least one item of Additional Info.
Once you click the "number" next to the Traders Rating you will get a page with all of the rating info. See the attached traderratings02.gif You can rate a members by clicking the Submit Feedback for Membername link (see red circle in traderratings02.gif).
To see your own rating, click the Trader Ratings link in the orange bar that is visable on some of the Swap and Sell pages. The link is not on all pages yet but if this test works well we will carry that over to all pages.
Notes on operation:
This does use an "honor" system. There is no way that we know if someone has purchase an item from someone else so there is no way to limit it. If the system is abused, the abusers account can be disabled.
You can leave more then one feedback, but for the "points" your feedback is averaged. In other words, if you leave 5 positive feedbacks, only +1 will be added to the Trader Ratings. This helps to eliminate running up the points but still allows people to see each feedback.
You can edit your feedback later if you wish.
When feedback is left for you, at this time you will not get any type of notice someone has rated you. Hopefully this feature will be added at a later date.
You, as a member, have control if your Trader Rating is visible by adding or deleting an item to the Additional Info area in your Profile. See traderratings03.gif attached below.
At this time there is no "rebuttal" system in place. Hopefully this will be added with the next version.
The old Trader Info forum is now in "read only" mode and no new posts can be made to this forum.
