I'm playing with a new forum layout to try and get rid of some wasted space and bring the threads closer to the top of the page. What I have done is move the navigation bar (UserCP, FAQ, MemberList, etc.) into the orange space in the header.

This is being demoed on any of the "auction" pages or you can look at one at http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/forumdisplay.php?f=173

One other change I have made to try and make things easier is to put a "bread-crumb" trail below the thread listing and the thread itself. That way if you are at the bottom of the page, you can just click the bread-crumb to go back to the one of the main pages. No need to scroll back to the top of the page or search through the Jump menu.

Let me know what you think of these changes. If you don't give me some feedback then don't complain when changes are made ;)

I like it too, Hank. With those "buttons" in the orange, it makes them easier and faster to find. Very clean.

Hankster,

Looking good... Love the bread-crumb effect. Can't tell you how many times I did the "scroll". :D

Want to thank you again for such a great site. I visit a few others but this is my #1 site.

BIG KUDO's to you...

Jeff

But none of the avitars are displaying now. I tried to right click and "show picture" but still no avitar.
