does anyone think that it is worth the hastle of taking silencers/pipes of to improve performance or is the only thing it does noise?? :confused:

well if u take off the pipe id loses speed cuz it needs the back preasure from the pipe, and it just makes more noise, so u kind of need the pipe.....plus i dont think it is god for the engine that way

You can not remove the pipe because the pipe is what supplies the fuel tank with pressure (via the tubing). No fuel tank pressure... no runnie!

Pipes on nitro cars give the motor back pressure .. Different pipes also give power in other ranges depending on the size of the wide part the bell and the tip...

Has anyone tried anything to make them quieter?
I've heard of people shredding steel wool and placing a small peice in the muffler.
