Hey, I got a quick question about my XXX-S II differentials. I'm "rebuilding" them before i put in the black belt conversion and i'm wondering what lube to use on the different balls.
1.For the ball bearings on the outdrives, what type should i use for them, if any.
2. For the balls inside of the pulley, what type of lube for them. (Would the clear AE grease work for those.)
3. And what type for the balls that are around the screw that holds the two outdrives together that goes through the diff. (Would the MIP red grease work for that)
I'm pretty sure I know #'s 2,3....But for #1, what should i use to lube the ball bearings with, 14-40wt multipurpose synthetic oil, or 20wt synthetic oil, or something else. Thanks alot!
