Has anyone ever converted Airtronics old 99 inch glider to run of electric?

HI

No, I have not converted it yet. I just received my plan for the Aquila. Looks like a very nice plane....But I have a problem. Where do I buy the Canopy. According to the plan it requires a canopy #515 from "Airtronics", but they seem to be out of bussiness. The other links also points to non-existing bussiness....

Can you help or give me some direction please?

Then, if you made any progress, I would be curious to know what you find out regarding 'electifying the Aquila'?

Take care
Bert

I just finished converting an Aquila kit to ele. I purchased the kit in 1980 and just now decided to build it...It's powered by a 1050 KV brushless motor, 11.1 volt Lipoly Battery and swinging an 11X6 folding prop...Flys like a dream with plenty of power from the brushless motor...
Have photos.......
