I installed neo magnets, 3 on each side and directly across from each other exactly. My question is the copper u's and rectangluar copper piece that go between the magnets; is it for conductivity of juice. I didn't put them in period and zilch. Does it make any difference if the open end of copper is up or down. Sure would like to have someone enlighten me on this. I took them for granted!1 Thanks in advance and thanks for your time!!!

those pieces are for spacers to ensure magnet placement, they have nothing to do with the motor operation.

Thanks a million mike and another ?, am retired but if you leave the original magnets in place and add neo magnets to the exterior exactly where the inside magnets are , what would be the result. I'm not into racing but love to tinker on motors to improve their performance and to see if i can learn as much as i can and have fun!!! Thanks in advance!!!

These motors are Trinity motor with label 85-87 champion and Revolution from the same era!

DLM the guy you really need to talk to is neomags www.neomags.com (http://www.neomags.com/). he's on another site but i think he does visit here also. you will gain some feild strength, but not as much as if you replce the older mags, placing the neo mags inside the can.
