Hey Hankster (and eveyone else):

Aside from my starships, R/C tanks, and phasers I'm also into R/C boats - Fast ones. I've sold my Aeromarine Challenger, but can't decide on a Cat or another Deep Vee. Both have the same Z-26 modified engine doing over 50mph, but is it true that Cat's do their best on flat water, and cannot handle choppy water like the Miami Vice style Deep Vee's? What's the scoop? Cat's can take turns at full throttle - right(?)

..Pardon my spelling -It's time for bed... ;^[i have raced ,and been(was) a race director for the IMPBA for a long time, The cats love a bit of choppy water! They will be faster and more stable than your V in most conditions except heavy chop! Thats where the V hull wins, but the larger cat hulls like the aeromarine sprint cat of 46" or longer will be fine! So unless your runnin the ocean or one of the great lakes the CAt is the only way to fly in my opinion! God I miss large scale gas boats!

..Great! 'cause I just sold my Aeromarine Challenger and bought a 44' Cat, brand new, with a 'modified' Z-28. The boat club says they will endure it will do at least 60 mph, because my only goal is to open up several cans of whoop-ass towards my best friend's Proboat Shockwave this season.

THose are slow, they are more of a recreational boat! check out bonzi's moded Z28 its good for the price! you wont be disappointed with the cat! I would use only aeromarine hardware with it and single rudder is all you need, do it off set, not right behing the prop though. and get a tidewater fully polished and balanced prop, they Use octura props, you tell them how fast you want to go, what hull and motor and you wil be real close!

Thanks again! By the way - how does one start up a Zenoah boat engine during the winter months just to turn it over?

PS: I meant 'ensure' it goes at least 60mph - not 'endure.' I need more rest.
