I missed LF last year due to some unfortunate circimstances. I attended a couple of them and really enjoyed it. I hope to be there again this year.

The slot cars are the highlight for me!

Marty,

Yes, we are working on an outdoor car show right now, getting the details nailed down, so there should be. We will have a definite answer within a couple of weeks

OK I'm not a die cast guy, but this sounds like fun. Gravity racing??? You mean like running your cars down Hot Wheels track? For prizes? (I keep thinking "This I GOTTA see") And what with this Rocket 500 thing? Is there a website where I can see one of these things? I googled it but didn't come up with much besides message board posts talking about them. Is it similar to the old HotWheels Thundershift 500 track?

I just might find an excuse to head down to this.

Good Morning

Gravity racing is on a 40' (I think) long aluminum track. We are getting the track fixed this year after it was abused by the people taking care of it a few years ago to get the timing lights and electronic finish line working. You race each other to get the Grand Prize - in past years it was a Mirror Topper Ferrari and El Camino - and a 1 of 75 Pink Slip Racer (PSR) if you happen to draw that race and win.

Rocket 500 - Hand operated, wild racing at its best.. some Topper and JL cars have the hook underneath to use this track

I will dig up some oics, I know I have some somewhere
