i just switched to firefox. and well now it has a new version that imports all you favs, cookies, etc and it uses little to no cpu usage. i test ie against firefox on gif's or animations sometimes put in avatars and such, ie equals slow, firefox equals fast. I recommend it hands down. even comes with pop up blocker and google toolbar, what more can you ask. i liked ie but this browser on my 17 inch screen lets me see alot more. so i ask anybody with firefox, what do you like.:dude:

oh yeah forgot to tell this, instead of when you are on different web pages at once and in IE you have windows open galore, firefox can to it in one window, just go to file and click new tab and you can surf a different page while on the other.

Ive been using it for the last few weeks as well. I like the fact that many spyware proggys are based on IE, and dont effect Firefox, so IMO its easier to delete them, and this all equals better browsing.

yep so true, i've had spyware cut to a minimal with firefox and well of course no pop ups. loving that but i had the google toolbar in IE. only problem i have is that well they don't make a black, full black or very dark grey theme for it. kinda gets to my eye's after a couple hours but the silver theme helps some.

what os is it, if its 2000 well then sorry, soooo very sorry for you, works great in 98 and no computer crashes, it goes easy on my 600mhz p3 processor in that one, and well my new one with xp, well no problems yet. but of course in 98 IE always either froze or PERFORMED AND ILLEGAL OPERATION or either just didn't work and over taxed the processor. well after firefox for it, boom all went better. like clockwork. just loving the tab feature in firefox. and the themes are well when they get boring i change it, unlike IE your stuck with it

I had bad viruses, so I took my good system offline to save me the trouble of installing windows again......the one im using has a P3 500mhz using windows XP on a 8 gig drive, and 3x 128 megs of sdram...........its not too good, but firefox still runs like a champ
