what would happen , to the motor and the car it was in, if the magnets in a typical can motor were replaced with ones made of neodymium?

Speculation:
It would go like hell & prolly get kinda hot.

A stock arm will not have the ability to "match up" to the increased power of the magnets. You'll need to use a hotter arm with a lower OHM resistance. The stock arm will run hot and prbably burn up.

Can you say smoke? You could always waste a chassis in a test to enjoy the experience. Everyone needs to fry a chassis at least once. ;) rr
