I have a delema..I have a 5.5 hp power train engine. But where i am putting it i have a issue with clearence with the carbarator. So my question is this..If i would make an 90 degree extention piece out of pipe , but keeping it at the same level to move it to solve my clearance issue. With adding this extra length between the intake and the carb, make it run differently.

probably wont make any difference, but what exactly are you using it for?

i seen one on an onan engine like 6 inches long seemed to me to work

shouldn't give much problems as long as it isn't extended too far.

I will be using the engine on a 4 wheel drive, 4 link full suspension motorized barstool. It would probly have a extention about 4-5 inches, with two 45 degree bends.

shouldn't be a problem then with 45 degree bends and not being tooo long it should work alright with no lag in power.
