i have a traxxas nitro sport se and i was wondering if u could take of the pipe and just flip the exhaust header so that it pointed up? would this make it perform better ?i would have to put a piece of fuel tubing going from the fuel tank to the exhaust header though too wouldnt i?

No, it would not make it run better. Without the muffler, there will be no pressure on the fuel, in turn can cause the engine to run lean. There are many aftermarket tuned pipes that can help performance.

Also your neighbors would get tired of listening to all that noise.

to take this a bit further, it wouls acctually run terrible, even if the fuel would still flow. two stroke engines require a certain ammount of back pressure to function properly. you need to remeember you piston is also you intake and exhaust valves, with out some back pressure things just dont work right, fuel re liquifies, in the chamber etc.
