I recently had some problems with my AFX SRT chassis, and AFX provided great customer service and offered to send a replacement.

I received my replacement chassis yesterday, and it is not an SRT. The car is VERY fast, and sticks to the track like glue, even in corners. It also has a longer wheelbase than an SRT. It is not a Super G+, because it doesn't have additional "axle holes" to shorten the wheelbase. It also came with an extra magnet retainer.

What type of car could this be? For what it's worth, there was a little "stamp" on the side of the chassis that read "F03" or "F33." I don't know if that is any help.

Does anyone know what type of chassis this could be?

I'm very intriqued by what you're describing. A picture would be very worthwhile. When you say "AFX provided great customer support" who exactly are you referring to? Do you mean RaceMasters, ScaleAuto, or someone else?

Ok, this story is 2 days old and still unsolved ! I may post it to some other boards and the H.O. slotcars discussion list, but like AFXToo said some pics would go a long way in figuring this myster out. BTW, what body was the original chassis running and what body is on it now (You said wheel base is longer on replacemet ?)

What kind of motor is it? Is it a can motor like a Tomy Turbo, a Tomy SRT, an HP7, a Marchon, or an Artin?

Or is it an inline motor with an armature and brushes that are independently replaceable, like a lifelike, a Tyco 440X2, and AFX G. plus or a Tomy G. plus.

I have been wondering if this could be a BSRT G3 that the vendor provided as an upgrade because the SRT didn't perform properly?

Heck of an upgrade if that's the fact.
