Barooose 01-21-2005, 02:39 PM Nice run in the main Grif. Until the last 10 seconds anyway. Haha. I know how that goes. grif 01-21-2005, 08:21 PM Well after 2 bum motors I collected my marbles for the main. Atlest you guys got a laugh out of it. "It ain't worth doin' if you can't have any fun!" I think I'll be knockin' on your doors next week. grif 01-23-2005, 10:35 PM I'm almost sure I'll be in the show this week after seeing Mr. Wood's run last week.?? Barooose 01-26-2005, 09:55 AM Well Grif, you are more than welcome to hold up traffic behind me anytime. Hahaha....... Mr Oragomi 01-26-2005, 04:49 PM Wow, take a few weeks off and after one good run the 'tude is back be nice if I could figure out where all my speed went that fast. BF Barooose 01-28-2005, 09:55 AM I prolly should of told you sooner, but I syphoned a lap out of you car and put it in mine a couple weeks ago. Hope that helps. Keep at it, you'll get 'er figgered out again. grif 01-28-2005, 10:38 PM Mr. Bruce is just lucky... Time to retire 'ol man!! Danny-The-Dude 01-29-2005, 12:19 AM Rumor has it "Mr. Wood" is running out of blue pills and luck.....................a storm is a brewin'!!! grif 01-29-2005, 12:37 AM He gave me the rest of the pills and I made use of them!! Don't believe me... Just ask the Q-Tip!!! I had a headache!!!! haysreeling 01-29-2005, 01:34 AM Sounds like the track was a little slow??? On a side note all I have to say is....."what?".... I'll say it again.... "what?". hahaha Bruce I know you know what I'm talking about. hahaha oh man histerical. Hays JR Barooose 01-29-2005, 12:35 PM What??? What???? hahaha. Yeah, I agree. I told Grif those blue pills were NOT suppositories, but that wouldn't explain a HEADACHE. Grif is just ticked 'cause he's been getting beat by a half blind old geezer. Come to think of it, I'd be ticked too. L.O.L. Not to worry Dude, the semi got through the snow storm and replenished my supply and I'm not rolling out of bed anymore. Danny-The-Dude 01-29-2005, 12:41 PM Nice.................so we should call you "kickstand"? or is it "tripod"? grif 01-29-2005, 11:54 PM Yeah, the semi may be rollin', but the joke is on Mr. Wood. It's not his "regular" supply of blue pills.... It's a load of KY gelly. Get ready and assume the position... Barooose 01-30-2005, 03:55 PM That is reason enough to go as fast as I can, Yeeeeoooowww. Dude, I always liked "polevaulter". Not too over the top ,is it? grif 02-01-2005, 10:48 PM Anything for you Baroose!! Barooose 02-02-2005, 02:35 PM What? grif 02-02-2005, 06:53 PM Incentive to make you go as fast as you can!! Mr Oragomi 02-04-2005, 01:41 AM Wanted to buy... Looking for BLUE paint remover. When I went out for the main I had a yellow car, but now I have blue paint up and down both sides... at least where all the donuts haven't rubbed it back off. Taking suggestions on this one. I know 4 tires are good, and 8 is better but in the main tonight a few people must have thought 12 was amazing! BF Barooose 02-04-2005, 02:18 PM I have no ida what you're talking about. hahaha. You can transfer that paint back where it came from next week. grif 02-04-2005, 03:18 PM Anyone from oshkosh headed to WB Sunday? grif 02-18-2005, 09:25 PM What got you so emotional last Thursday?? Barooose 02-19-2005, 12:56 PM Ah Grif. The human Whoopee cushion. I was laughing soooo hard, I am amazed I didn't crash the car. Are you guys going to bring your "machine" to Green Bay? Just not in my races........Haha. Mr Oragomi 02-19-2005, 03:35 PM I think that little move might have made me glad I didnt make the fast heat that round. Seen that done before though. I know at one of the Open Wheel races in '95 or '97 there was a madman loose in the pits with one of those. grif 02-19-2005, 11:10 PM You'd better talk to the instigator, which is not me, to find out if it'll be at GB?? Mr Oragomi 02-28-2005, 02:30 AM Okay guys, out of curiosity from someone who has to work weekends, what went down on Saturday. Who was there, who was fast, who mysteriously didnt show? BF Barooose 02-28-2005, 09:44 AM I'll try to get everything on the conference by noon today. Barooose 02-28-2005, 03:02 PM 4th Annual Cheeseland Classic. Pat Hockers described it as old school Saturday night short track racing. I think that is very accurate. 71 laps in 4 minutes. Short tight and fast. Practice was very exciting with 8 or more cars trying to get up to speed with varying skill levels. Not for the timid, but exhilarating. With just under 2 hours per round everyone had plenty of time to wrench, talk trash and particpate in a few pranks. Mentzel T.Q.ed the first round with his brand new C.W. car and I started wondering whether this may be a repeat of last years race. But Cory the Iceman stepped it up and took the final T.Q. with the only 70 lap run. Makus sat 2nd, Wood 3rd, Pat Simkins 4th, Danny “The Dude” 5th and Green Bays own Buddy Paul 6th on the grid. The A started out clean except for the Dude who lifted for someone ahead on the second lap and hooked his car nose first against the center board. On the next lap Buddy and Wood got shuffled around back as the rest of the freight train took off. Cory, Makus and Pat were moving out with Buddy, Wood and the Dude, getting back in the rthym. Shortly Wood gets by Buddy and everyone settles into a choreographed dance of cars looking for the fastest line and seeking their opponents weaknesses. All the cars are pretty well matched as Cory is driving fast enough to protect his position without putting himself in danger. About the halfway mark Wood gets past Pat who is having some very tiny glitches on one end of the track but it’s just enough to slow him down a tick and open a door for Wood to sneak through. The leaders are still turning 3.4 lap times and time is running out. The Dude is running in shadow of 2nd place but he’s still 2 laps down from his early problem. Cory finishes a half lap ahead of Makus with Wood in third just over a lap down. Pat Simkins held his breath for the last minute and finished 1 second behind Wood. Mentzel managed to finish 5th about 1 second of Buddy. It was one of the most exciting and cleanest races I’ve been honored to participate in for quite awhile. Nice little plaques for 1st through 3rd in all the mains also. The after race celebrations at Hooters had close to thirty people and it was a blast. And yes Ed and Wood got the birthday treat. Thanks ProStar for another great race and thanks for listening to our suggestions for changing the track. Danny-The-Dude 02-28-2005, 09:49 PM I wonder who was Mr. Oragomi talking about not showing up? grif 03-20-2005, 11:36 PM I'm glad that I'm not a member of CHR, but I brought a jar of Vaseline along just in case!! Barooose 03-22-2005, 02:22 PM We had some really good racing last sunday- too bad it was the same weekend as Vinton. Next year will be different. 17driver 03-22-2005, 03:36 PM Next year you should go to Vinton Bruce! AJS 03-22-2005, 03:51 PM Bruce, I agree with 17driver, next year you should come to Vinton. Barooose 03-23-2005, 10:10 AM Oh yeah. That's what we were all saying at the track sunday. Reserve me a table AJ. I will be there next year. That will be my snowbirds-only cheaper. AJ. Are ya gonna make it up to the Triclone this summer? AJS 03-23-2005, 10:44 AM Just finishing up with the carpet season and haven't really even thought about caps, but I'll keep up with your site and see what's happening and may try to make one of the Jim Wick races. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
