I'm about to go racing in 2 hours and I'm in debate if I want to enter stock truck class from Novice. I've one 3 straight 1st places out of 4 total races I've EVER competed in. I don't have the best ESC and equipment but I seem to be doing quite well. Should I race stock truck class or do Novice again?

What do you guys think?

I guess it depends on several factors. Do they run the same motors in stock as you do in novice? How bad have you beat the guys in novice? Can you run good consistant lines in novice? I'm just asking because if you move up to quick you can get discouraged and discourage those around you if you are all over the track. How are your times compared to stock? Answer all these questions and then be honest with yourself. Do YOU think you are ready to run against the higher level of competition?

This is exactly what I did looking at last weeks race results. I was usually a full lap ahead of 2nd. :)

I raced stock truck tonight and qualed 3rd by taking 3rd in both heats and I was in 2nd in the main but my truck broke with a minute left!!!!

I do have alot of learning to do but I guess my Mentor taught me well.:)

I know how you feel, When I race oval, I mainly run novice, BUT I am about 3 or more laps faster than the rest, but in stock, I am about 3 or more laps slower.
Dont get me wrong, I AM a racer, I will race about anything, but I dont want to get in the way of the stock guys. Offroad, I can hang with the best of them.
We had a regional race and I ran novice stock, I did not want to be in the way of the stock guys. I had tq of about 58 laps, if I had ran stock, I would have qual. 5th or 6th.
Most of all, go out and have fun, fun, fun
