is there any way that you can custom the body to make it lower on any x-traction body? Just curious if anyone has done it? I notice that one of challenger body is too high or am I wrong? maybe it would look better if you can lower it but i looked inside and looks impossible to do or??

Wes, It's not impossible it just takes imagination. I know you have a good bit of that if you'r going to make a Superbird cop car.
How about filling the existing slot then grinding out in a different spot with a dremill

Yeah .. I can do anything with tyco bodies but for snap on it looks kind of hard and I tried like three jl bodies and it didnt work. When I look at the clips inside the body on both sides - I would dremel top part but it would be too loose what do i do on bottom part?
What do you mean filling existing slot? You mean fill in the hole and make new hole to lower the body?

Hey wes.
That is exactly what he is talking about. Also, if it would end up being too loose if you were to cut a new slot for the chassis tab, (most bodies bulge outward towards the middle) you will need to do something like oiling the heck out of an old chassis on its tabs stacking legos (thin ones or whatever you have) inside the body to get desired ride height, pressing the chassis against the temporary spacer and applying Quick-Tite to the body around the tabs. It sets up in minutes and holds better than epoxy. The oiled chassis will snap out nicely. Remove spacer, reinstall complete chassis and stun and amaze your friends!
Happy racing!

Yeah Joez has it right...as far as I know. We were on Wednesday slothead chat a couple weeks ago and Circle Track DAC gave us a tutorial on that very thing. Go to this post http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=99719 and check out the orange 57 chev. The 57 is an RRR afx body that was lowered using this technique.
Joez, have you tried it yet?

Whar's this quick tite stuff? I'd love to try it on something and then lower the challenger and charger using this technique
