Yes, bring them down to 5.4Volts (for a 6 cell pack) if you have a discharge tray, bring them down to .9Volts per cell, you could dead short them, but that will kill your batteries life (but much better performance).

well it is for my spec pack and i am usint the deans bulb discharger for that soince i wont work on my novak smart tray. so should i let the bulbs go all of the way off and let them sit that way till i use them again

Yeah, bring them down as far as you can, I haven't heard of anyone dead shorting a stick pack, so don't do that (there will still be varying levels of voltage in each cell), just bring the packs down till the bulbs dim, but make sure you don't let the lights go out.

If anyone is looking Im selling a brand new T-spec(never run) it has the battery and motor. $110 or best offer. body is trimmed and mounted though. Im also selling my B4 (1 season of racing on it) for $80.

Derrek, you ought to bring the stuff you want to sell to yhe races. We get about 75 people on any given race night. It is a captive audience. I will also announce it for you over the mike. People have had good luck selling their stuff at the track. Just something to think about............WAYNE

Surge is going to be sponsoring an event at Jackson R/C this year. Tentatively, the date is set for Saturday, June 11, 2005. SO, mark that off on your calendars. (Practice will be available on Friday, June 10.)

We'll have plaques for 1-10 in each A-main (stock and mod), 1-3 in other mains and the handouts will be none other than Surge 'Trinity-based' stocks.

ROAR membership and rules will be followed and rubber tires will be mandatory. You can also sign-up with ROAR at the track the day of the event if you don't have membership.

We're going to be promoting the event big-time, and we'd love the turnout to be big. More details will be available as we get closer.

If anyone sees any conflicts with this date (NORRCA Nats, etc.) please let us know.

Also, I would really love it if some of you out-of-towners would mark this off on your calendars as a 'big-event' and plan on coming over and visiting with us. We'd love to have more than just the local Surge team involved.

We're counting on you DirtRunners to show up in support! Also, Wayne and Chuck if you guys wouldn't mind not scheduling a race that particular weekend, we'd really appreciate it. Wanted to give you guys plenty of time before you schedule your summer events.

I am working along with Jon and Gary to get a sportsman class for touring,with many sponsored drivers coming we think this would be a great idea. Trinity ORL series went to that this current series and it's great avg. 25 entries in sportsman stock. Jackson track is Big 120X65ish 21 lap track. Its going to be a great time hope to see ya's there ;)

Jon - I certainly don't speak for the board, but I believe I was told that Charlie had already drawn up the outdoor schedule and submitted it to the township for approval, and to obtain the gathering permits that the club needs for the outdoor races. There is a tremendous amount of this kind of behind-the-scenes planning that Charlie and Wayne do for the club that isn't visible, and that has to be done properly so the club can continue to operate. I haven't seen the dates, so I don't know if that was a planned weekend for DR or not. In any case, there shouldn't be a conflict since the Jackson race is a Saturday, and the DR races are Sunday. There should be even less conflict since DR doesn't do any outdoor pavement racing anyway. I'm sure DR can support this race as well as Jackson has supported our off road races.

Sorry to say but yes the race is cancelled due to the weather forecast. It better really snow or I am going to be pretty mad. The weather is the one thing we can't change so we just have to grin and bear it. One good thing is that Charlie and I won a lot of trophies. Don't worry I am only kidding.
