kingpin 01-13-2005, 08:07 PM Tanks Joel:mad: I don't have the record for jumping the fence, I have it for putting people over it. Remember, driving legends means never having to say you're sorry.:jest: Where have I heard that before???
Hey Kevin, If the wall is made from Velcro, which part is exposed, Hooks or Loops?? Just thought that I would bring some of the opposite to stick on the side of a few cars. Lets see, Douggie, Ricky, Mike and oh yeah, you:lol:
kevinm 01-13-2005, 09:26 PM Tanks Joel. I don't have the record for jumping the fence, I have it for putting people over it. Remember, driving legends means never having to say you're sorry. Where have I heard that before???
Actually, I believe I said it first. Although you seem to say it more often. Usually during a race....

Actually, it's made of 1/4" thick UHMW (plastic, or what Jake calls "heavy duty milk jugs"). The Velcro will be used to stick it to the carpet.
rowle1jt 01-13-2005, 09:30 PM So is that there soft wall gonna keep george inside the track.............LOL
I think he also holds the record at the old Bridgeport track for having the "highest mark" on the wall..... higher than anyone else by a few feet......
Kevin, can you confirm that?
jonny 01-14-2005, 01:11 PM Hey, You guys quit pickin on my friend George.
Kevin, Will I have to pickup your wall with my truck? I think UPS shipping is out of the question. JB
kevinm 01-14-2005, 08:23 PM Kevin, Will I have to pickup your wall with my truck? I think UPS shipping is out of the question. JB
Jon - I'm pretty sure I can fit the pieces in my car. If not, I'll let you know.

Promatchracer 01-23-2005, 01:30 PM If anybody needs a brushless set up LMK
I have a couple to sell They are slightly used and will sell for $175 shipped
I hope to come down and race with you guys soon
I am getting ready for Snowbirds right now Thats going to be fun.
I have to go get the Motorhome I am buying to go down with this week. Taking the wife and kid should be fun driving 1300 miles with them
Take it easy
rowle1jt 01-23-2005, 08:28 PM Taking the wife and kid should be fun driving 1300 miles with them Your taking the wife AND the kid and you still expect to race... Goog luck. :)
Best of luck my friend!!
Remember, just because the Leading Edge cars are the fastest and the most durable doesn't mean you need to hit everbody. :p
jonny 01-23-2005, 09:24 PM Hey Jake, Im glad you finally made it to a race in MP. I had heard you moved back to MP some time ago but you haven't been coming to the races.
Speaking of hitting everybody I was told the marks on the side of my new body was from your car. Jay Mo was driving my car in the spec class. I forgive ya, you can still race with us. Ha Ha, JB
Did anyone else notice that Jamie got 1 more lap in 19t class than he did in brushless class. very interesting
WIGMAN 01-23-2005, 11:04 PM Hey Jake, Whats up with the spec class, can't hang with the big dogs anymore.......LOL
Kinda surprised to see all the people running brushless though.
Did everybody run the Novak 5800 system or were there different ones mixed in?
John, from everything I've heard about the 5800 system( the one I think the guys were running), it has been between 1 and 3 laps slower than 19T is of course with Jamie running it he will probably end up faster than 19T.
Hopefully i'll get down there this year to run with you guys, I hope to make it next month, but that all depends on when the little one decides to get here.
Later, Joel
mbeach2k 01-23-2005, 11:14 PM they were all 5800,after racing saturday it seem so far the general opinion from the people that i talked to is that most want to race the 4300 motor
( the speed controls are the same ) , which is ok by me will save money in the long run so i'm ordering my 4300 moter this week from jon!!
WIGMAN 01-23-2005, 11:18 PM From what I have heard the 4300 system is slower than stock by 1 - 2 laps at most tracks, I can't see people wanting to go slower than 4-cell stock.
Later, Joel
mbeach2k 01-23-2005, 11:21 PM it isn't the 4300 is just a little slower than 19 turn
we played with the 4300 and the 5800
john sparks was running a 5800 and doug mccalum was running a 4300 in practice and the 4300 was just a little bit slower
Roadsplat 01-24-2005, 01:23 AM Did anyone else notice that Jamie got 1 more lap in 19t class than he did in brushless class. very interesting
I think that once everbody gets these figured out they are going to be a little faster than 19T. From what I have been told car setup changes slightly between the brushed and brushless motors. Don't quite get the braking effect from the brushless. I think that once guys adapt to the differences the laps are going to increase.
Also, I'm not sure that you could call all those races as clean driven races...I seem to remember seeing a few wrecks.
mbeach2k 01-24-2005, 08:37 AM you are correct, when you let off the throttle the car just coast there is no motor braking and no chassis change from the motor
hobbyten 01-24-2005, 06:36 PM i ran the 4300 in spec just to try it out and it defintely had a lot more speed than the stock spec i was runing the same battery and tires as the rest and down the straight i could catch anyone but when car don't handle on the turns oyu have problems and i missed the setup all day also in practice i was out there with ray and his 19 turn car and i could stay with him down the straight. i did this without having the right gearing in the car. the motor was coming off the track at 91 degrees the speed control at 80 so i know i ciuld have taken my roll out a lot higher
rowle1jt 01-24-2005, 08:36 PM Hey Jake, Im glad you finally made it to a race in MP. I had heard you moved back to MP some time ago but you haven't been coming to the races.Yeah, once I graduated and had to get a crappy real job that makes me work weekends I can't race as much. Saturdays are the worst day of teh week for me to not to work so they are few and far between anymore.....
Speaking of hitting everybody I was told the marks on the side of my new body was from your car. Jay Mo was driving my car in the spec class. I forgive ya, you can still race with us. Ha Ha, JBHey when your that much faster.....you gotta move those that won't move out of your way....
In all honesty, I only bumped him once and it wasn't even on purpose.... his car just wasn't coming off the corners as well as mine.
You can't stop a Leading Edge car...you can only hope to slow it down.....
Thunder Valley 01-24-2005, 11:15 PM I use a brushless motor in my indoor flyer and I found that I get longer flight times. Are you guys running with the brushless motors in your pancars finding more effiecient us of the battery? Could longer races be run with a brushless motor? I like running 30 minute mains with my gas stuff....I think 10 minute mains in a pan car would be a blast.
Just curious,
Matt
Promatchracer 01-25-2005, 01:28 AM Matt you get a class together for your Next Trophy Race and we will do 10 Min Heats and mains with the 5800 brushless and 6 cells
Also Bring the Mini T parts too
Thunder Valley 01-25-2005, 11:59 AM Casey....now your talkin! 6 cell brushless for 10 minutes....sounds like a white knuckle ride I would like to take. I will talk to you more about it on Saturday.
Matt
Matt, Better Bring Lots Of Parts!. Lol
Thunder Valley 01-25-2005, 12:05 PM Might even get to pit and do a tire change!! ROFL!!
jonny 01-25-2005, 01:58 PM Sorry guys, they aren't going to make 10 min. We just tryed to run a 6 min. race in MP with a brushless 5800 motor class and most guys couldn't make 6 min. JB
chuck47 01-25-2005, 02:09 PM Hock and Matt I see your on here now, I won't be in GB tonight the car is in the garage now it was damm mice  eating wires up and a gasket leaking antifreeze into the air intake were using my car if we get a call for the ambulance now.
i can't make it tonight anyway chuck. power supply blew up and new one is not here yet. + i don't know if there is racing tonight or not. Will let you know over next couple of days
