im pretty new to this sport but have a freind who knows a fair amount.. ok heres my question.. i want to run a 10 double motor in my losi xxx4.. i also want to run a stock team orion 19t to play around with or something that i dont have to maintain very much and use the 10 double on the track ... do i need to change any gearing or swap anything to use both motors .. i know i have to solder them on.. and have a good esc..

oh i saw some motor leads on a site that say you dont have to solder the leads and they fit most motors and there gold plated will this work?

The RPM range of a 10 double to a 19t should be nearly double...so if you have a decent gear ratio for the 19t you will probably want to go several teeth smaller for the 10t. I'd guess 5 or 6 teeth to start with.

I would solder the leads on any motor. The amps they pull those push on connectors won't get it.

yes you should change the pinion gear you said you were just palyiny around then you can just try the same gear but you wont get the max performance of the 19t and also just keep a good close watch on the motor th ensure it doesnt over heat

im going to get a revoulution motor from team orion due to there power and maintainence .. cant decide between 12x2 or 10x2...

whenever you change out a motor you should change the pinion gear if it is a diferent wind so that you dont burn up the motor. I would always hardwire the motor to the esc just for the sake of power.
