Swifty 01-07-2005, 01:49 AM LOL, I read this and was expecting to see AMCs. But a Shelby is nice too. If no one else has claimed it, I'll take it.
Thanks!
ClearHooter 01-07-2005, 02:09 AM I can go you one better. I don't have to move a house hold. I don't even have to move from the work bench. You ever see that "Twilight Zone" about the Blue People? I'm lookin' for my "Super Glue" right now.

No, I can't say that I have. However, I used to watch a show about little blue people. It was called "Smurfs" and was really popular when I was growing up...
ClearHooter 01-07-2005, 07:12 AM Not those blue people. Thats my kids blue people. This Twilight Zone epesode was probably the second generation. But I think Rod Serling still hosted it. I don't think it was "Night Gallery." Anyway, it was based on the hypothesis that time was made up in frames. And until you get to that moment in time nothing exist. The blue people were the construction workers of time. Like any worker under such pressure to reconstruct everything exactly from moment to moment, sometimes they screw up. This provided the explanation of why you can be working on a project, look away, and when you look back.... the FREEKIN' SUPER GLUE'S GONE!!! AND YOU JUST HAD IT!!!! Makes perfect sense to me :freak:
robmcin 01-07-2005, 09:13 AM I remember that one.. the people went down an alley and it just ended.. nothing there just space... it wasn't used in that instant so it didn't exist.
That is a great one!!!
ClearHooter 01-07-2005, 09:50 AM It explains a lot in my life
kadman 01-07-2005, 12:17 PM gunn, the best way ive found to get rid of them is to leave the bud light in the fridge til i get the part done im workin on at the time. ttfn johnny
Cowboy88 01-07-2005, 02:19 PM I feel for you Gunn I am having the same trouble I am working on a 72 Nova and after I get this paint on it will be the 4th strip and repaint:freak: after similar problems like you had. I think I have a whole colony of them living in my shop.
Hey while we are talking about paint, to get that shiny candy chrome look after you polish the casting do you spray the color right on the bare metal? And do you use a clear color or will any color work?
Steve
cowboy. i bought the paint from walmart and comes in rattel can. after you buff wipe the car down with a soft rag and i do mean wipe it down good the paint will pick up any trace of the rouge in corners grooves look it over good before spraying. after that i just spray it on most of the soft rag will get up the film. this anodizing paint drys in 10 min then i let set for another 30 min then wipe softly and put it under my lamp in about 1hr the paint will change and give you that mirror look it has to set up so dont mess with it till it does. it is darker when first put on. hope this helps.
as for the gremlin's we otta put them on the swap and sell board someone just might want them. rotflmao and we can name them white lightning gremlins...later gunn
